My front wheel moves around, mostly after taps, no matter how hard I clamp it down. This causes my brake to rub. Hard. The wheel doesn't spin. I have to get off the bike and re-seat the wheel.

There's a space between the edge of the nut there and the edge of the impression.

So:
1- Are there any skewers with wider nuts?
2- If I went with a bolt-on skewer, would I be able to fix it?

you mean a nutted axle or a skewer with a bolthead instead of a QR?

Skewer with a bolthead
I can't run a nutted axle

I'm not sure that it would actually hold any tighter than a decent QR. Have you tried using a decent one? Use a shimano. They grab tighter.

ive had that probllem on my gu fork for a year now. Switched to a bolt up hub (zhi) and it actually seems to hold its position now. There should be a less $$ solution though.

what hub and what QR? i'm with tomac on the shimano one, switched to one on the front with my gu fork and no problems now.

American Classic hub, unknown QR. Got it for free at the LBS.
No Shimano available here. Would Salsa or the DT swiss ratchet one work?

Hope QR has been absolutely fine in my Zoo! Pitbull fork (running with a 203mm Avid BB7) for over a year...
