I'm not picky. Just a single dad trying to find a new healthy hobby. If anyone wants to help a guy out Please Please Please. I do have some money saved but it's real hard to get big money saved for a new bike. caleb@craniyums.com

X-hydra still in good shape, brakes are solid, wheels are round, steel frame will last forever, not silly light so it won't fall apart. Couple hundred plus spli shipping?

I have never see one of these inbetween new and old school frames. And I will admit I am unsure how much difference the new geometry makes. I can't find any reviews for this bike, if you know where there may be one please post it. Anyone have experience with one of these? Thanks caleb

Old Monty's are good to start on, but you won't be able to upgrade it much if you decide to keep it. It is at the least 8 years old, but if you feel like it, go for it.

If you are learning trials an older bike may well fell more "normal" to you. And there is no reason this bike like that can't do amazing stuff, look at that vid from the (Polish?) guy on the older Monty killing it, I was impressed. As for upgrading it doesn't have disc tabs, other than that there are no issues with running newer parts on it if you wish. I'm not in a hurry to sell it, so look around. What I will say is it is complete and solid, no hassle with setting up stuff (like I'm currently dealing with with my new echo mod) and jumping right on it which equals more riding time which makes me happy.
