bent hanger

i just got a bt raven 6.0 a few days ago, and on my 4th ride, i bent the rear hanger. any ideas on where i can get a new one without going thru bt? thanks.

go to lbs and match it with what they have in stock? that or bend it back

Pretty sure a BT 6 is a K type hanger, which is the same as most deng frames etc and are fairly comon.

LBS likely wont' have it. You can probably find one that's close and then grind it down until it fits if you're really desperate to ride. Otherwise wait for the replacement to come in the mail.

thanks for the input. i was able to bend it back, so it is atleast functional. however, i am going to go ahead and get one for a replacement.

ring up a LBS that does iron horse, kona, KHS or rocky mountain. tell them you want a type K hanger, but you'll probably need to describe it for them. it's just a generic shape but if they stock bikes that have used that hanger they're more likely to have it in stock. any shop can order pretty much anything...

go to your LBS, tell them you need to look at the frame spares section of the QBP catalog and match your hanger to the myriad QBP has, order, profit.
