Hey guys!
Is there enough length in the axle bolt of a GU mod to be spaced apart however thick a threshold tensioner is? I say this as apart from drilling it out this is the only way I can see my self doing it.
Everything fits fine. I am just a little bit worried that it wont be strong enough. I personally think that it shouldn't make a difference since the tensioner is not that thick, but who knows?
edit: just to make it clear i am running it on the outside

I'm pretty sure they're intended to be run on the indside of the dropout (between the dropout and hub). That's how I ran them on my monty back in the day. I don't think that would make a difference in terms of how many threads the bolt caught though.
From what I remember, the threshold tensioners were just as thick as a snail cam, which I'm pretty sure most mods are still designed to use. But I don't know about that.
I imagine you'll be ok. You can always get longer bolts. I don't know about GU hubs, but the hub bolt for my Monty back then were the same size as the bolt for a threadless headset cap, and those are plenty long...

As mentioned above, the tensioners should go on the inside....same as snail cams. The tensioners are a hair small for most of the newer axles....just a hair.... a quick touch with a dremel will make things a go. Next production run will have the larger axle hole.
