That looks awesome dude, these things sure to get about the place!
Is there much difference between the standars old Fatty R and this tandem specific one?

As far as I know the Fatty R has always been tandem specific. The one I own from like 2002 is built for their tandem.

Funny too, cause when I ordered mine (two) I was told they were two of the last three Cannondale USA had and they didn't intend to produce any more. I guess they couldn't best the fork design and spec'd it on more models they were producing. They really are incredible forks.

 squeek, squeek, squeek...
What's the gear? 22/19 or is that something smaller in the back?
how does it ride????
Haven't really given it a flogging yet. But seems pretty nice. The lack of rolling resistance compared to my 26 is nice change. I can actually get some speed up so I'm sure I'll be hurting myself. I folded the tire off the rim doing some spins in the carpark. Not sure whether that's pressure too low or user error. Will try and get a vid up when I get back from Europe.

The whole 24" tire thing is sort of a bastard- have you had good luck with holy rollers in the rear? I want something with a beefier sidewall and streetish tread...

Couldn't you just take a grinder or siping tool to a prefered knobby and turn it into "street"?

I wouldn't recommend the holy roller for the back end, way too limp a sidewall to run at any reasonably low pressure. the 2.4 works great for the front though.

or just ride it til it wears down (which Im doing) however, in the future if at all possible I'd like to buy a part that does not immediately need modification to be found suitable...
