So i'm looking into getting a new fork and I'm pretty set on the Zoo Pitbull with the magura mounts on the backside of the fork. I'm going to be running maguras, but I was wondering if anyone had problems with the crossover being hit / caught by your foot while doing tricks such as the infamous Danny Mac tailwhips.

I have reverse mounts, and have fucked around a little with tailwhips but always have to abort them since my hose is to short. I also have a booster on the front that may be protecting the line a bit though.

Tail Whips are for BMX'ers ;)

I'd say if yoru working on tail whips you may sooner than later have issue's with the cross over.

: O really? i like disc feel better but usually dont have as much braking power as the Vs or maggies

Yeah they feel smoother. But I like the power a little bit more which I find I can get with maggies. But.... people out there will probably disagree as there are some awesome discs out there so let end it here:wiggle: So people are suggesting that I should just try to find a normal forward facing mount to save me probably I'll probably end up running into?

It's kinda weird how front maggies were almost unheard of a few years ago, and now there making there way back.

Sorry for getting off topic

Don't worry, I just didn't want this to turn into a disc vs maggie thread.
Yeah I know what you mean. A lot of big riders are using v's and maggies for the front. Coincidently i do too :coold: haha

im currently running the set up you wish to, it will get in the way, but with any luck you wont tear the line, you dont need to run a booster on the pitbull fork tho, its overkill. and the little bit of flex and loss of power there is just makes it consistent with the rear brake. its all good.

Thanks a lot to everyone. I now think I'm going to try to stay away from the rear facing mounts. Seems like much less hassle with the normal maggie mounts!

Hm...My brother has a magura on the front of his bike. He's got the older pure fork that has 4 bolt and disc. Seems to work good...but dan, if you're planning on doing a lot of front wheel stuff...maybe you SHOULD get a disc? lol Or maybe a V? Something mechanical anyway, you wouldn't have to worry about breaking lines.
