Anyone from Australia/New Zealand seen either a Norco Evolve/Manifesto in stores or in the streets? They do have Norco but the trials section on the web don't seem to be there...

I'm pretty sure the Australian distributor, Sportz Australasia has a bunch of the frames that they are dying to get rid of.... Let me know if you want me to check it out for you.....

Maybe because you don't ride often??

Bike Otaku, get yourself something from Deng. You will be much better off with a real trials bike. ;)

Those make pretty sweet mountainbikes for trials riders though.

But like Stik said: Riding trials is better on a trials bike.

I have a norco evolve frame which I rode for a short time. 853 steel. Or is that the moment? I don't remember...

So they do exist...How much did you guys got them for?

Macbeth, thanks for the offer. I couldn't get in contact with any Sportz Australasia. It'd be sweet if you could find out if they are carrying either the Evolve or Manifesto, their pricing, and whether they'll continue to, though I won't be in Australia anytime soon(hell, I don't even know when...)

The 853 frame is the Moment.

I wanted especially Norco bikes, specifically the Manifesto because of its design that allows you to build a trials/street bike, and most importantly, you can set up a seat on it.

Oh, obviously there are Maguras there, right?

Where do I find out more about Deng?

You have to remember that, although Norcos aren't pure competition trials bikes, they are marketed by one of the best trials promoters on the planet, Ryan Leech.

If I were to ride just one bike for everything, it would be pretty similar to Leech's setup. I think they're a soid choice for the trials dabbler.

I'd get an Echo Pure or the new Gu whatever hands down over the Manifesto et al. My 0.02c.

integrated headset on evolve, that's reason enough to steer clear

I agree that for true trials you need a true trials bike. What I meant was that if you wanted a do everything bike that was "trialsy" then the manifesto would be hard to go past. The old pures with the seat tube are another good option but becoming increasingly hard to get hold of.
I'd love to have a manifesto as my mountainbike.

Just spoke to David at Sportz Australasia.... They have some Moments and one Evolve in stock now..... Looking at about $500 for frame only..... Let me know, I can easily get you one...... PM me

For that price though I would seriously be considering something like the Czar street trials frame or another Deng bike....
