Hi. I'm moving to Kyoto soon. Does anyone know if there is much of a trials scene there? or any good places to ride? weekly rides, etc? Thanks for any ideas!!

Get hold of Kenichi at Goldrush. he is a really good guy and knows pretty much everyone who rides trials in Japan. He should have a website....?
I think he lives/has his shop in Kobe, just up the road from Kyoto

Japan is so badass, you will love it. Basically everyone we met over there (Japanese riders) was awesome.
The night before the comp, I was kept awake by our host mum laughing her ass off while Masashi, Youji, Ryuta and others were playing strip bowling on Wii. Masashi was down to a sock on his cock.....good times. :rofl:

Definitley hook up with Kenichi. As Mike said, he is a really good guy and knows a lot about the sport, riders, and the buisness in Japan. We had the chance to hang out with the man a few times and we all had a blast.

Sorry about noise Mike. I just wished there were enough socks to go around for strip bowling. Good Times! :)

I am assuming we are referring to Kenichi Kuryoma (spelling?)...I rode in the worlds in '90 when he was like 9 years old. He could flat tear up biketrials then. At age 10 Beta Motorcycles signed him to a contract. He did quite well at the world level.

How ironic, I'm in Kobe with Kenichi Iwasa right now, typing this from his desk at Goldrush! I was just going to post up a couple pics and stuff from his warehouse and whatever.

Anyways, I would echo everyone else in telling you to get in touch with Kenichi. I'll be in Japan with him until the 13th if you want to hook up and ride with us! He set me up on a bike for the week so we could ride a little bit. It's been really good so far, but he's also been pushing weird food in front of me and saying "try"...so far so good. I recommend the okonomiyaki!

Kenichi is almost always here...last night we actually slept at the warehouse, so chances of getting in touch with him at the warehouse are pretty good!

I have a moto video with Kuroyama in it, pretty good. But these guys are talking about Kenichi Iwasa.
