No Galveston comp?
That's all up to the Houston boys. If they want to add to the schedule that'll be six instead of 5. I'll go to Galveston to compete.

Yea, we could have a G-town comp, but it will have to be a lil different. We won't want to attract too much attention it's very public city land. And I dont know about taping the sections, we maybe could use chalk, or tape 1 section at a time, run it 3 times, take it down and move to the next one. If there's 300 ft of streamer plowing in the wind, we may get a ticket for littering(even if its secured pretty well). I've never had a problem riding there, other than people stop and watch alot. There are alot of lifeguards and cops, so if we do it, we should do it low key. And there is only 1 beach on galveston that allows drinking, and the rocks arent on it. I was thinking we could compete, then go over to that beach and party and swim and stuff afterwards. Is there still any interest? If so, I'll post a date.
And this is a very technical riding area, I think ya'll would really like riding there.

Let's do it the Saturday before the 1st. That'll give us time to party that night.
I'll put it on the calendar and it'll also count towards series points.

Special sections for 2 guys...sounds like a drag 2 set up. Ah the human ego.
What if they competed in drag....call it "sport drag" imagine the photos.
I'll ride expert this year. Can't be any worse than last year.
Patrick
01-29-2008, 10:08 AM
yeah, I don't think we need a thukgundoo class. especially if Jeff is stepping it up against stan and co.
i will judge/mind/drink/smoke as usual:bigthumb:
Sport advanced is easy to set up anyways. just make splits in the sport sections. you can always wait and see who's riding before making the splits.

I wanna be a heckler/judge for that class:
"I could ride your wife better than you rode that section!"
"You built that bike up yesterday?"
isn't sport BELOW sport masters??????

don't worry, you'll get heckled too. i hate it when the young kids say "hurry up old man" or the person in the crowd ask "you're a little older, right?"

Is hotel bad 4 you guys? We could camp at crystal beach, but it takes about 30 mins to get there(20 of which are on a ferry across the bay), and you can drink there. I'm good either way. Hotel rooms will be a lil more on the seawall, but if we pool it shouldnt be too bad. Or we could camp friday night at crystal and get a room the next. Yea, that sounds better. I dont have my apt anymore, and I don't live anywhere near there, or I'd offer that. Group rides sound great, we have 3 or 4 spots we could try, including the seawall.

Those rocks look like golld.
I've reserved the same camping area as last year. Same set up as last year too. If you help out with setting up there will be no charge for camping the whole weekend. You'll also get your fair share of food afterwards too. PM me if you plan on helping and I'll mark your name down for a spot.
Intoxicaving at its best.
