For those interested in rear discs, I thought I'd post a couple pics along with my thoughts on it so far. I've only been on a few good hard rides so far, but the 8" Code has been great. It held me for trials riding right out of the box and is only getting stronger as it breaks in. I think it feels great at the lever, not mushy at all. Pad knock is not nearly as bad as I expected.. I barely even notice it. So, ATM I am in love with this rear brake and am only scared of it blowing a piston like Milton Burl experienced. Credit to Macbeth for testing and recommending this brake!

The Simtra is great so far, but I came off a old 1065 Levelboss which was also a good frame and I don't find the two terribly different in feel. The Simtra seems to pop up to rear wheel a bit quicker, but taps, sidehops etc etc feel close enough to the same.

I'm also really liking the YESS tensioner so far. on the simtra with a 22-19, it is working fine in the pushing up position with no middle roller, just the jockey wheel. It has been quiet, hasn't lost the chain, and I've hit it once already. So thumbs up there too.

I should have tried that, or just a plain jane bb7 in the rear on my simtra rather than the fucken juicey 7. That thing held going forwards, but coming back and it just fucken slipped like nothing.

Anyway, nice bike! I really liked my simtra. But, I wanted a change.

The code is an amazing brake. I loved mine when I still had my BT.

The code is where it's at. I had one on my BT for a while with a 185. It locked great. Truly amazing. I think I'm going to give the 203 a shot soon.

Nice build man! Code looks so sweet! Sucks that one of them has reported leaking already.... I suppose on bad one out of a whole run should be tolerated as long as they warranty it.

How is the Yess tensioner? Is it worth the money? How adjustable is it?

Its good at the moment, doing its simple job. The only thing I don't like right now is that its bolted onto the hanger, so you need to unbolt it before you can take the wheel out. Not a big deal, but just one more thing that gets in the way if you ride without tools.

I've never tried the cheaper simpler verions like the Meta for 25 bucks, but my only guess is that this will take a lot more abuse without bending and breaking hangers.. Thats worth the money to me, I hate bent hangers.

As for adjustability, I haven't even tried, I put it on stock. But you can adjust tension by moving the spring, direction of push, and even add that extra roller.

Here's the manual incase you haven't already seen it http://yesspro.com/images/stories/ETRV/etr_vertical_manual.pdf

Now, I'm going for a ride :wiggle:

loving mhoulmont's code, HUGE improvement over maggies IMO. If you're on the fence go for it, although i feel like the levers are a tad too big and bulky for my taste.
and mhoulmont, where's my hub?

Keep us updated on the Code......I had one on the front for a few weeks until it started leaking out of one of the 4 pistons......Best brake I have ever used until it stopped working:rant2: I cried a little, then put my hope back on.

6' tall - and hopefully this pic might help... I can't remember the measurements off hand. think its about 100mm, and the highest rise they had that year - 17 deg I think?
