Yes indeed.. love TRA vids.. sick tap @ 4:20 part 1
How is it going with the DVD ?

Still downloading, but I thought I would share some sympathy as a fellow solitary rider.
It can be tough, but it makes you appreciate having others around that much more when it does happen.
And if you enjoy riding, (even when you are alone) you can't go wrong.
Way to keep the torch burning TRA!
Edit: watched vids. TRA embodies the true sense of trials, which to me is freedom to do whatever you want, him possibly more-so than any other rider. No rules, no restrictions, just riding on anything and everything... in the entire country from the looks of it.
Roof kicker was my favorite.

Great video, Thomas! Solid riding throughout the entire video =) I'm coming to Bergen this summer, going to do a big roadtrip methinks...
But, are you still running dualvees? What's your vee setup now?
Cheers,
Sondre

Bryan

Thomas, have you experienced any problems with your front wheel laced radially?
The scwalbe has worked perfectly .
No problems with my front wheel , its actually pretty strong !
The DVD .. hmm .. well i will not release a DVD until i can get footage which i am happy with , and i have barely been touching my bike now so i aint got no footage. I will try and get a more active year this year , so i hope i can get some good footage for DVD etc .

Liked that alot, but I think I prefered you last HD video.. I think because there were more unique spots in there.
I like the parkour parts tho, you should use them some more in upcoming video's :)

absolutely fantastic!
that first clip - i think we've seen you doing that line now with like 5 different frames (even Echo?)
those last indoor(?) clips are the most beautiful indoor footage i've ever seen.
We allready saw you going bigger and higher, but i definitely need those 2 vids + your last HD movie on DVD to watch them on a real (http://www.pic-upload.de/14.01.08/yymf8l.jpg) screen.
Thumbs up :bigthumb:

Is there any chance we could possibly see some really cool pictures of your bike? it looks pretty in HD from afar, just want to see it closer :)

Simply amazing...
BTW, does doing parkour help with trials in terms of dealing with heights or knowing how to fall if you have to bail?

great riding, music, loved everything about the vid
After braking my wrists 3 times , and especially my left one which is really bad now , ive had problems with dropgaps especially because im afraid of snapping the chain etc. So heights has actually been problematic , and some parkour makes it more naturally to move in big heights, i do it sometimes.
But i want to ride some mototrials again, alot of height in it .
Drilled cranks are fine , hehe .
The weight with mag pedals is at about 9.3 kg ...

thank you for the great vids ! tra is the only rider that puts so much effort ( and results ! ) in riding AND filming ! that's why he is the lone rider ! the only one !
you can be proud of your work !
cheers !

I'm guessing he likes it as much as their rear tire, gloves, front brake, bars and stem :dunno:
there are issues which does not suit my kind of riding , but giacomo does well on it for sure!

no words, incredible......i think it's your best video..... :l
I've a question: which kind of pads do you use in the rear v-brake?
i have been using Ali C`s special compound .. But ive noticed that its more up to the vee brake setup rather then brake compound to get good braking power

why wouldn't you like horizontals? you get perfect chain tensioning.. on my vertical dropouts on my coust i have to retension my tenioner every 5 minutes...

well maybe get a decent tensioner or build one

i have used deraileurs... surly singleators... and the one that ive used the most is what i have now, the rennen. the rennen is good because you can't snap the hangers, but its not spring tensioned so eventually it becomes loose no matter how much you tighten it.
watched part 2... good stuff as always :D

:bowdown:Amazing riding!
Im interested in hearing abit more about what you don't like about the V2.
too short chainstay which is a result of horizontal dropouts ..
But this is only MY oppinion , gilles giacomo and vincent all have same chainstay lenght , they seem to like it , lol .

Those are all not good tensioners in terms of breakability.
There are alot of light&small tensioner designs which are almot unbreakable.

I just ordered the Yess tensioner, we'll see how that goes for me. The thing is with my setup i have 385mm chainstays and 18/15 gear ratio, which leaves me with alot of slack chain. From what i've heard about the yess tensioner it will hopefully be a good solution. Keep the tension AND provide hanger protection. yum.
What program do you edit your videos with Thomas?
Ebon Dragon
01-17-2008, 01:15 AM
Definately get the "susp" kit then, lots of chain wrap and it'll cover the extra slack that forms with 385mm 18/15 (what I have)

Thanks for this beautiful video. I liked it a lot.
9,3 kg is very good for your bike. My Adamant A1 is 9,7 kg now with MG-1 and Big Betty. But the frame is still heavy. :)

@TRA: how is the big betty compared to the tryall - or if you donīt want to say compared to a tire that is equal to the tryall :luke:? does it pinch flat easy? is it as bouncy as the tryall? how does it feel when gapping from very small things, like rails or sharp stones? compound is goey gluey and size 2,4?
greets from Austria!
how name is the music on TRA lone rider part 2 :> ?
