I have a better chance of making it to this one, anyone down? Does anyone know if there is any opportunity to ride during any of this? Or else I won't bother thinking about bringing a bike..

sol vista is like 15 mnutes down the road. dont bother riding winter park... unless you are going out for an awesome cross country ride.

if you are looking for gravity stuff, go to sol vista. waaaaay more fun. and waaaay worth bringing out a bike.

dont bother with vail, when they stop shitting on bikes, i'd recommend them again.

Sol Vista FTW.

Next year after the snow melts the lines are going to be sick.

Anybody know if they're going to have trials or speed trials this year? I can't seem to find much on the event website.

Yeah, I know there'll be speed trials at the Teva Mountain Games as well as some similar event in Reno, but I was just wondering if there was going to be anything trials-related at the Crankworx.

the speed"trials" at teva is a fucking joke.

I've seen how that course has evolved over the years, and its clearly not a speed trials course like it once was, which is too bad. Lenosky does a great job putting on those events, but I feel like the courses should be designed to incorporate elements from all disciplines. Throw in a few A-frames or ups (sans kickers) and at least a trials rider would have a chance at being competitive. Still may try to hit up the Teva games anyway if I can save up some scrill.

the last thing in last year's teva games was a bridge over a moat... it was dope. bunny hop to a skinny or bunny hop to an awkward kinked bridge with planks sticking up at the crucial turn points... lots of fast guys ate shit there and lenosky the trials guy ended up taking it at the last obstacle.
