Hey the Nats are on again at Mt Stromlo in Canberra in January next year, the trials is on Sunday the 27th of January. Craig tells me he has got some decent funding and the comp will be very good this year!

I know a few people are going to the Big Day Out in Sydney which is on Friday the 25th so that a gives a day to recover before heading down to Canberra for the nats.

So I'm thinking of booking some accommodation for the Saturday night before the comp and the Sunday night after the comp (26th & 27th), that place we got which had nine beds was pretty good for the money, who's keen to commit to this so I can book it before all the AC is booked out?

Lat year I drove down the morning of the comp and it was too stressful, so many cops on the hwy and we nearly missed the start, not doing that again :hs:

The grass isn't the only thing growing, the entry price has gone up to $50 for pre-entry or $60 on the day :squint:

Its not just for us, the entry fees have gone up for all the events, I guess building a world class mtb facility has to come at a cost.

Ok guys the room is booked for the 26th & 27th, it sleeps up to 10 people, $250 per night, works out at about $25 each per night.

Chris, you won't be able to compete in both events because of time clashes and to be honest the national champs caters more for the elite riders, most people I race with don't bother with it because you get very limited practice runs and it costs a lot of money to enter. The state series are much better value, QLD has a solid state series each year.

Hey, well I have just decided what I was doing this morning, as well as only just managed to get Tuesday off work at 10am today. So this is the go for me.

I'm flying down to Sydney and going to my olds house in wollongong on sat morning. Hopefully my sister will lend me here car and I'll just drive down, but uncertain at this stage if I'm going down on Saturday or first thing on Sunday morning... I'm thinking if I go down on Sunday night, I don't think I'll be getting much sleep otherwise.


Ads was going to come down with me, but unfortunately due to a bad stack wakeboarding a week ago he has some ligament damage that will put him out of action for a couple more weeks.
