five ten shoe repair/resole

I love my five ten shoes but found the initial sole didn't last long (less than 3 months) so decided to get them resoled. initially I found it hard to find someone to do the repair but eventually found someone who specialises in resoling climbing shoes and could repair them with the original Stealth 510 rubber. see here for more details http://www.bigjohn.com.au/.

This is the scond time I have had them resoled through the same place and the initial resole lasted 6 months (twice as long as the original soles) and the repair was perfect even after wearing the soles out completely. Turn around time was great and at around $50 much cheaper than a new pair of shoes.

I have had my shoes for 18months now and haven't needed to resole, and I run the Syncros pedals that tear other shoes to shit..... :dunno:

I am just going to get a pair of the 08 ones when they come out next month ;)

Yeah thats funny because mine don't even look like wearing out after 3 months and a LOT of riding!

Over here in the UK the trend has moved towards buying your fav pair of skate shoes and resoleing them with the 5 ten sole.

My soles are 1 year on, still looking pretty good. :dunno:
