For an exercise science project i got to make a educational video on a sport that i like to do, so i chose trials, i made video decribing some technique and a brief backround on trials, i haven't handed it in yet, tell me what you think
here is the link, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCyPwe0eQGg
Please comment on video and riding quality.

A+
I had to get a dictionary out for half of the words but it was a really good video. Riding was amazing.

Cool
Just some corrections: Italics for spelling. I'm too lazy to fix everything but this should help you a little. PM if you want extra help.
This is a fringe sport, better known in Europe than America.
It's a slow-paced sport, but the athletes normally recruit fast-twitch muscle fibers. The major muscle groups involved are the Quadriceps and Latissimus dorsi. (you're forgetting most of the muscle groups used in trials here)
That technique is called a sidehop. One uses it to ascend an object sideways. Major muscle groups involved in the concentric movement are: biceps (I presume you mean biceps brachii), quadriceps, and latissimus dorsi. (again, forgetting lots)
The muscles used eccentrically include quadriceps and triceps. (again, forgetting lots of them)
This technique is known as a tap, because the rider taps the front tire on the front face of the object on the way up. With this technique, one can go often go higher with a sidehop, but it requires more space.
The next slide: mostly the same edits before in terms of spelling.
Be careful, you don't really use hamstrings to tuck. You do activate them along with gastroc, glutes and erector spinae to support your weight when you land, though.
This is a downgap, used to move from a high object to a low object. Control is very important in this technique. Most of the muscle contraction comes is eccentric, used to absorb the impact upon landing.
You've now seen down and up gaps, but the most common gaps are level. (The rest of this slide is just wrong)
Gaps can also be done rolling, if you have space. One can gap a lot further this way. The muscles do have to eccentrically contract more on the landing, because there is more force involved.
weightlifting, not Weightlifting

Spelling is your biggest concern.
Its eccentric, not essentric. Otherwise great job and great front yard riding.

I saw some grammatical and spelling errors. I also noticed some run on sentences. And it seemed like the text wasn't up long enough, or maybe I'm just a slow reader. Some of the riding scenes were a bit dark, but that could just be the small screen on youtube. However, it was pretty informative and I think you made trials just a bit more interesting for normal folk. =)

lol ya i'm like retarded in english, i might need to edit it later tonight, it's exercise science, so spelling wasn't my biggest concern, but thanks for the replies, keep em coming

Quite liked that, the explainations were very clear, I'm pretty sure that people who have seen trials would understand the moves.
Good job :bigthumb:

I liked it, great video! The only problem I see is that in the last segment the lighting is very dim. You want people to see the best riding in the video!
The video is a good introduction to the sport! Whenever someone asks what to do with pallets, we can point them here.

your riding should be smooth if you write it down. some gaps are really unsmooth? for how long are you riding?

For 10 months that riding was awesome. When I had ridden 10 months I still has a GT ruckus with tektro disc brakes and an rst suspension fork and all I could do was pedalkick around, ride up and bunnyhop....

I couldn't make a bail video, not enough good falls, mainly just stepping down, no really good falls completely off the bike, if i can i will.

I think you should do a few close ups of your arms when pulling on the bars and leg when kicking the pedal. You could overlay arrows naming the muscles as you show them working.
I also strongly recommend adding something about balance. You could talk about the senses (vision, inner ear) and the brain (motor cortex). This also related to accurate gaping like to a rail or small rock (posterior parietal cortex).
Also I don't think the "fun section" differs enough from the rest, though the bleacher line is good.
