Hey,

I'm looking to upgrage to a newer model trialsbike and was wondering if anyone had any information on what the differences are between the 20'' Koxx levelboss, XTP and Hydroxx and what the advantages or disadvantages of having a long frame over a short frame are? Also, which is the better model out of the 3 and why?

do a quick search, there was a review on the hydroxx not too long ago about a guy who switched to it from an XTP

Hey Janine,

If I was you I'd go for the Hydroxx short dual disk. In terms of durability the hydroxx is a lot stronger and the frame has a nicer finish IMOP. On the other hand, the XTP2 is a bit lighter and flicks easier to back wheel. The XTP's hi bb makes it easier when trying to clear stuff UCI style. But, the hydroxx will probably be a lot more similar to your Monty in terms of geometry when compared to the XTP2. On both you will feel fine riding, especially with the dual disks. If you build the hydroxx right, I will weight almost like a stock XTP2. So, if you are concerned on weight go XTP, still the hydroxx is light enough and handles better than your Monty.
