Hey I know this is still super early but I was wondering if Mike Baia was holding the Trials event at Whistler again in 2008 and if so which weekend it will be on. I looked on the Crankworx website and it says nothing about the Trials event and it also says that the Crankworx runs from the 9th till the 17th of Aug.

So far it has always been on the weekend that the slopestyle is on.
It was on Saturday the 28th of July this year.

How many fucking times do I have to tell you schmucks how bad ass this event is.
NO. DON"T come. It sucks. Really. You'd ride your bike too much. Drink too much good beer and whiskey, and laugh more than is necessary.
Don't go anywhere. Seriously. Just stay home and do what you are doing right now.

Ha ha a friend of mine was working there last year, i was coming in for free burgers every day for lunch! scored a lot of clothing too with her staff pass discount before i left.
I going to call my mate who lives down at creekside in the next couple of days and see what he is doing around the time Im there, I usually sleep on the floor at his place when I'm in town. I'm still in the early planning stages on this trip at the moment.

Canadians don't have STD's. They are too smart for that.
You may find a high grade weed dealer in whistler before you find an STD.

I haven't touched my trials bike in 2 weeks which is a long time for me.
I bought an Iron Horse Sunday and have been riding the park religiously when I'm not working. Trials sux right now (or more correctly, I suck) and I am not looking forward to being schooled at this comp.
Anyone coming up here to ride in the next few weeks??? Let me know so I have some sort of motivation to get off my ass!
If you have a big bike and are coming up, come say hi at Garbanzo Bike and Bean. I work in the workshop over the weekends, it would be cool to meet some more trials riders. :sadwavey:

Kinda suits me though as I pretty much get the mountain to myself during the weekdays.
I'll let you know for sure when I get a weekend off next though.
So whats the latest on the trials comp? I'm going to be in Whistler up until the 17th of August and I was thinking of filming the event for my next DVD, will there any pro riders turning up to ride this comp?
Failing that I would like to drink some beer with fellow trials riders :)

I need to work out the details with Jon the interim pilot of the millennium falcon; I could bring some of our beer! 1/4barrel = 7.25 gal almost thirty liters for you euros.
I wish I could bring two 1/6 barrel kegs though,.. one would fit nicely in my backpack with the pump on it and we could walk the sections cheering and pouring beer.

Choose Style: Imperial Pale (7.8%) Flagship Red (forget, but personal favorite lately), Clipper Gold Heif (good summer beer,. so fresh and tasty), Islander Pale (less hoppy than Imperial which is good for sensitive types).
There are a few others but I really don't like the Pilsner or Lager just cause you can find great versions of that in Canada.
