It's only a month away. This will be the final comp in our first series. It's been a good year and I think we all have had a lot of fun.

The comp will be on Saturday October 20th and start at 1. Riders meeting will be at 12:30 and you can register when ever you feel like it.
Cost- 30.00
Land Fee- 5.00

I'll have the usual swag and shirts for all entries. Awards will be given to the top 3 in each category - Expert, Sport and Beginner
There will also be 50% cash pay out to the experts

I'll also have awards for the top 3 Over All Winners in each category for the series. Series standings were posted here:

For the final event I'll supply food for Saturday night (Pizza) and I'll also be bringing a keg for everyone to enjoy. The rest of the time there you'll need to bring your own food/water/snacks.

This time we have the entire 25 acres of boulders to enjoy. Expect to see the hardest Expert sections yet:wiggle:. We'll be heading to Tishmingo the morning of the 19th to set the sections. If anyone is coming from out of town and needs a place to crash/ride to the comp feel free to PM me. I'll get you sorted out and taken care of. I know it's asking a lot but if we could just get 25 riders I'll pay out 500.00.

DFW- Dallas Ft. Worth International airport or you can fly in on Southwest Airlines. Southwest is probably the cheapest.

Are you going to have a beginner's clinic at this comp? Barring work emergencies, I'll be there. I figure it's the best chance to meet everyone in the area for the rest of the season, and I can learn a ton even if I don't ride.

We're only 1.5 hours away. Which airport are you looking at arriving in? Southwest is about 5 minutes from my house. What time does the flight get into Dallas? We plan on leaving for Tishomingo around 8 in the morning. If possible and if you are coming, fly in Thursday night.

I'm afraid not. Saturday is for competing/drinking. Sunday is for the group ride and recovery and driving home. Try to make it. You won't be dissappointed.

If I have a really good next couple of weeks ($) I'll try to make it, going to be around $500 for 2 days of riding..and I just booked a trip to CO, which will cost me over a grand..and I have to get a fall wardrobe and spiff up my bike in between now and then. If not, what is the weather like there in the winter? I know san antonio was great in november, i might be going to NJ instead...depends on the family.

That's cool. I talked to Stan, we will both have tents. You can crash in his car. I think it is a suburban or something. You'll have plenty of room. There will probably be a few guys crashing at my house Thursday night. Just come on in, you are more than welcome. We'll all get up Friday and head to Tishomingo. Probably set the sections then ride. Later that night we'll do a drunk hike. I've already ordered the keg, no worries for the alcohol. What time do you think you'll be in? I'll PM you my number and directions to the house.

i really have noidea when i'll be in. I'm gonna leave after work and depending on how far you are from jackson and how fast of a start i get we'll see how long it takes me. i just thought about sleeping in my car and i think that would be fun acuttaly :P lay down the seats in the wagon and they'll be plenty of room. but it'll still be fun to camp out rather then do nothing before a comp.

I think enough people are coming to this event to have a parts swap/trade/sell thing going on after awards and dinner while we're listening to the poetry and spoken word of Nick Jacobs. I know I have a bunch of stuff I would give to people if they need it, you probably do too. There should be a bunch of beginners and sport guys there who could use some stuff.
