Ok....I have a brand new Rollenlager for sale. I just payed $55.00 for it last week, and cannot use it on my new Meta. I'm not looking to take a beating on this, but I am willing to pay shipping charges in an attemot to recoup as much of my money as possible. Item is brand new, black, and ready to go. This is a very solid American made item. Might not matter to most, but maybe it does matter to some. Looking to get as close to $50 U.S. as possible. Thanks for your time

what you should do is just get an aluminum plate, drill 2 holes on it, bolt one end to the tensioner, and bolt the roller to the other hole. then you can run the tensioner pushing up

125 views, and only two replies? What seems to be the problem? This is brand new, and I'm flexible on pricing.

It holds tension mechanically, not via spring tension. The bottom hole on the mount is bolted to your hanger. It's a really easy design to understand after you see it in person

It pivots around the axle. Move it up until the chain is tight enough and secure both bolts. It won't move...at least, that's the idea

They work good, really strong and are easy to use... only downfall is depending on your chainstay length and gearing ratio, you may need to use a half link. (I did on my Echo Hi fi with an 18 to 22 gear ratio)
I sold mine to John and he seems to like it a lot and no half link needed for him.

I love it! It is bombproof, and holds tension well. It would be ideal if my chainline was slightly shorter (the chain hits the bottom of the chainstay when it slaps), but it works a lot better than the Surly one I had previously.
I have only had to re-tension it 2 or 3 times since I got it (not including when I take my rear wheel off) and I just flip the bike over, and push on the tensioner with my foot!

It actually comes with a half link in the box! Its still unused because i literally never rode the bike with this tensioner

Bwagner, from my experience, don't bother using the bolt in that mounts on the derailleur hanger. The only way this tensioner has any use is to use it in a push up position and secure it to the chainstay with zipties. (I'm assuming the problem with the meta is that the distance between the two bolts is different then what is on the rennen).
The reason I'm saying not to use the is bolt because that it does not hold tension AT ALL, whether you are using a bolt on hub or a qr (I've tried both). Also, since the tensioner moves about every hour or so, it eventually manages to rip the threads out of your hanger (i've managed to do this 4 times already, first time on a steel frame without a replaceable hanger...). I'll post a picture of the ziptie-pushup setup when I get out of school, maybe you can still find a use for it as I am very happy with it this way. It holds tension, and it's basically impossible to land on it because it's tucked under the stays.

Unless I get drunk I'm not planning on spending more than a couple hundred on a frame...we'll see...Everyone rides a mid bb now, almost everyone- there has to be something to it. I'm going to tune in my current ride first.

SOLD and Shipped! Hey Ebon, my problem was actually that the stays on my frame are too tall (Rectangular) and in fact the bolt holes lined up perfectly. Thanks though
