I can make better pics of it if you want, think that's a yes :coold:

And he does not feel 100% sure with a disc at the rear and rim brake is more strong and more reliable.

I'm sure there's a reason for that bend in the top tube but it makes me throw up a little in my mouth everytime I see it. Otherwise it looks like fun. Doesn't really matter what Kenny rides though.. he's always butter.

After seeing that cut-out head tube, I immediately thought of this quote about Vince's bike:

Vincent makes me sick now.

If he has to go to those lengths to try to win, he should just give up.

Furthermore I tried to reduce weight by light innertubes, light Maxxis tire in the rear. It wheight now is 9,7kg which is my lightest bike ever. Lighter is possible but I wouldn't feel comfortable anymore on it. I also broke my personal sidehop record with this bike to 137,5 cm. (kenny has written this)

Thats a crazy high bar and stem, what is the bb rise?

I see it has horizontal drop outs - I must have missed reading about that.

Seems like cutting stuff out of your frame and parts is the 2007 trend among pro's, their bikes look like they've been tortured in the movie hostel.

I rode kenny's 231 once when he just had it, his lever angles are really weird but he likes it that way.

LanceT

I didn't think it would be possible, but this bike has taken it to a new level. That has to be the craziest looking trials machine to date.

Those extra extended dropouts are interesting.

The bars appear to be angled straight up, no?

whatever, if Kenny likes it that is all that matters. 54"!!!

Nice new features for Monty. Kenny really went to work over there. Congratulations.

Geo?

wesley belaey
08-15-2007, 12:50 PM
I believe the geo is:
1090 wheelbase
+3.5BB height
395 chainstay ( its long but he says its very good for sidehop's and its more stabel on the backwheel)
And the frame is still a prototype but almost ready to put it in to production.
The handlebar is 72mm widht,
The stem is also a prototype and its a little bit longer then the try all stem,
And the fork is also a prototype and you can not believe the light weight it has.
So alot of testing for kenny but he really likes the bike and parts.

head tube angle?

wesley belaey
08-15-2007, 01:16 PM
I just called kenny and the correct geo is:
1085 to 1090 wheelbase , adjustable because of the chain tensioners.
BB +3.5
And the chainstay is not 395 but 390 and also adjustable to 385
And the head tube angle we dont now probably it will be like the most production bikes.

GO KENNY and WES! Way to work with Monty to bring them back into the stock market in force.

LanceT
08-15-2007, 02:29 PM
Well, I guess that clinches it. High BB is better. Kenny was the last holdout for the 0-10mm BB bike and now he has taken it up a notch.

I really thought there was something to the older geo, but I think I am just too old to handle the newer bikes well.

I think Kenny will be back in control of the comp circuit this year. That Monty looks serious and ready for battle. Let the games begin.

Looks to me like the high bb craze has ended, bb height is around +30 to+45 now and the new biggest craze is how light you can make your bike go?

Kenny will still beat vincent at the worlds, even though vincents bike is like .5kg lighter, i guarantee it.

what are you talking about? his bb is 3.5 mm rise not 35...

and can anyone tell me what the purpose of the bubbling top tube is for?

LOL

Its beter use leaking dengura then standard magura and couldn't ride by cranks + cylinders clerance problem.

P.S. I like the shape of this frame but at that short seat-tube frame going to be flexy similar to titanium frames and cranks hits cylinder in every massive moves.

i just recently aquired a speed race frame brought here from england. it has a 35mm rise. not sure of the race length but the wb is 1090. its super comfy and feels the same length as a brisa b26d. weird. ive ridden a 45 and it feels funny on the back wheel, like it could slip out from under u easy...
