Has this happened to anybody, I run dual disc and my Hope trials mono left (front brake) rear half mount bracket cracked in the center. I'm careful when I tighten down not to over torque and appply even pressure and gap but it cracked anyway. I didn't crack while ajusting, I rode for 2 hours and noticed my lever loose the next day.

Your right....I've heard that brakes are considered a crutch with this sport  or is that only with downhill and street luge :slap:
I was wondering if anybody ever had to call hope customer service and how they would handle this.
I had a pair of Avid BB7 on my XC that sqeaked none stop and when I called customer service they said my rotor was an 06 and had problems and sent me out a set of G2 clean sweeps at no charge.
These hope brakes were not cheap and can believe the clamp broke that easy without help from me that is, I installed them but its not like the brakes took an impact beating. Nobody can say I squeezed to hard either. These are trial specific brakes after all. I just need a clamp the brake is fine.

Apparently Hope customer service is one of the best in the business, or so I hear from people on trials-forum.

Thanks....It Sunday or I'd call them. I'll try them tomorrow and see what they say. I would of tried tig welding it but Hope may want it back for whatever reason so its best I leave it alone for now.

My guess is that they would just send you a replacement clamp free of charge.

I had the same clamp break on me. I emailed up HopeUSA in Houston,Tx with a pix of the broken clamp and they sent me that part of the clamp free, no problems at all. They also recommend torquing to just 5 ft/lbs.

Update....I called Hope this morning and they informed me the newer clamps are now thinker and are sending me one out free of charge. They mentioned that they have only replaced a few and although its happened its not that common of a problem.
