View Full Version : Rock Springs Comp
It's about 5 weeks away. Get ready for an awesome comp. Same set up as last year. It's at noon on Saturday September 1st. Riders meeting will be at 11:45. 25.00 Entry 5.00 Insurance. That'll get you a shirt, some food and other goodies the day of the comp. Not sure if the accomodations are the same as last year, we'll see. It's also the 3rd comp in the Southwest Series. Same bounty, $100.00 to the person beating Stan, coming in 1st. I said earlier in a thread if we have 30 riders, I'll pay out $500.00 total to Expert and Sport. ha, last year I happened to have my dive light, and I went night freediving. The water is beautiful, and they let you use their kayaks free. Best place ever.

A couple of us will be leaving Thursday the 30th sometime. I'll find out the time a little closer to that day. Let me know if you want to Carpool. Always helps with the gas.

I'm coming, but the dual slalom runs at the same time roughly as trials. Would anyone else like to do dual racing? I sure would. Wonder why they overlap so much?

i'm out on this one. the timing is bad for me as i'm doing other trips right before and after this. too bad too, considering they brought in boulders for the comp and i had so much fun there on our last trip. i just remember stumbling along barefoot up the river in the perfect sun in some sort of super buzzed euphoria. :rolleyes: that was definetely one of my top 3 best days of this year so far.

Oh yeah, you should speak up if you're gonna go, because they gotta buy food and who knows how much to buy?(this place is a long way from food or stores, so bring lotta beers and food 4 backup munchies at midnight.) Or you'll be that sad dude; hittin' up people for munchies and beer on the 4 wheel trip after the apple at 2 AM. You don't wanna be that guy!

I rode XC for years in North Carolina. Since moving to Texas I haven't been too impressed with trails so my riding has changed. I'm getting more into trials riding. I got a loonnnggg way to go. I'm excited to see there is stuff going on. I'm goin to do my best to be there.
