I know its a longshot, but if anyone lives near or in aspen, or plans on being here in july, give me a PM. Im stuck here all summer for my job, and no one here rides anything except their $5000 full suspension mountain bike to the supermarket and back. This place makes me sick, lots of good walls and rocks though.

Really? without getting caught? Ive heard the aspen cops troll the streets at night with heat vision looking into cars for people sleeping in there. Its the way they keep "vagrants" from hanging around.

Aspen is like 4 1/2 hours away, but it turns out im gonna be back july 3rd- 6th so if im not busy with my girl the whole time, ill try to get in on a ride or get one going.

Have you been up to the Aspen Grottos? I have not ridden there(only swam) but there are some good rocks.

It is outside of town, just off the highway that goes to Independence pass. You would need to drive there.

Here is some info:

The "Grottos" is located just off Rt 82, 9 or 10 driving miles west of Independence Pass, and about 8.5 driving miles east of Aspen, in the Sawatch Range. The pass is closed during the winter due to snow, and can remain closed through May and into June depending on how long it takes the snow to melt.
There is a road sign on Rt 82 saying "Grottos" to show the location, but you can miss it easily.
You drive in a short way from the road to the parking lot. There's a toilet facility and parking for 20 or 30 cars.
The Grottos are a short distance from the parking lot. Watch for some hiking signs that will direct you to them. The Roaring Fork River is in the immediate vicinity, and the Grottos themselves do present some danger to unattended children.

Here are some pics I found on Google. There are a serious of waterfalls and pools. Again I have not ridden there, but there are some spots where you could. Plus when you are done just jump in the river to cool off.

OOOOOOOOH yeaaaaaaa, ive been there, not for trials though. Sometimes theres topless chicks sun bathing, so ill be sure to try it out.
