I know this is really beginner but i cannot get the feel for back pivots. Ive been trying to get the feel of them by trying to do rock walks, but i just cant seem to get any spin on my back tire. Can anyone tell me how to do rear pivots and maybe some ways to practise?

Can you trackstand? If you can, go into a trackstand, lean back (keep your brakes on), and simultaneously pull up on the bars and throw your hips in the direction you want to pivot.

Are you coming to Phil's comp tomorrow in Evergreen? If so, we'll show you how in person.

wat will help you greatly is preloading the front wheel: when trackstanding, trun your wheel in the opposite direction you want to pivot, then as you go to pivot preload your body in the opposite direction (same direction as your wheel is pointing) then pull everything to the direction you want to pivot in.
hope you can understand my dodgy explaining skillz

you must to turn by oposite side of your forward foot and try to turn your bar to the forward foot side before turn you all it´s for bounce...sorry my english...i´m training front pivot on a narrow obstacle now...after a fews practising.

whatever feels comfortable. i expect you have one foot that's usually at the front. keep it there.

it will be much easier to learn to pivot in both directions with your favoured foot forward, and after that, pivoting both ways with the other foot forward.
it is too hard to switch feet every time you want to pivot in a different direction
