ah well, good one 1 : > kinda forgot it
sssso, i`m total noob i guess :> i was trying on one selfmade "mod" bike but with no success, since the geometry was wrong and the brakes didn`t hold.
for now i trackstand arrround 7-8 seconds, hop 1 (max 3 times) on rear wheel, hop with the both wheels (not high at all) aaand turn 90(degrees) with endo

Well the Adamant has a high BB rise (about 55mm) which may be difficult for a beginner. The Zoo has a lower BB rise (I think it may vary from 0-20mm depending on frame length) which is easier for a beginner.
I think everyone here will agree that you should get the Zoo.
I agree, I got worried after ordering my Adamant A1 and seeing a post where I guy was having tons of trouble doing basic moves because of the high BB. Fortunately 07's don't have the high BB anymore. Can't wait for my bike to show. Hope you like whichever bike you get.

The 07 Adamants don't have high BB anymore? The one listed on Webcyclery did. Hmmm...maybe they are selling the old ones?

And the Zoo...

It needs to be updated or they have mixed stock. Todd Mean emailed me back and said not to worry I was gettign the 07 with lower BB. Adamant's site is correct for 07.

how does the BB affect the ride :?
and i would i like to ask if the price/quality are the same on the two bikes

Higher BB helps with rear wheel moves...it's easier to balance on the rear wheel...so I've read, I've never ridden one.
Low BB is more like a typical bike...easier to balance on 2 wheels and bunnyhop.
Both frames are made by the same company. Basically Echo, Zoo, Adamant, Czar...and maybe some others?...are part of the same company.

Well what condition are the bikes in? Have you ridden them? If these are your only choices, go with the one that is nicer. Especially if the Adamant is the lower BB height version...that makes them pretty similar geometry-wise. Anyone else want to chime in?

harder to balance on two wheels, because its a higher center of gravity. I found it near impossible to trackstand on, when I can trackstand for a long while on both my XC, and road bikes. High BBs are made for doing backwheel stuff, at this point, I still suck pretty bad at trials, and Im a long way away from doing any backwheel stuff, so im much much happier on my Pure with the level BB.

It might be only me, but as long as you have a crappy MTB then you should ride it until you can pedalkick, backhop and trackstand. And only then you should get a trial-specific frame and parts. As I've read on this forum many new riders who get a good trials specific bike in the beginning say it's much worse than their xc bike and they feel uncomfortable/weird on it. That's because they can't understand the advantages of newschool trials bikes until they can do the rear wheel moves with it. It's easy to start doing small rideups, trackstands and backhops on an old mtb because most riders are used to the feeling of those bikes and it feels more natural to them than a trials bike. When you reach the level you can do some rear wheel moves and THEN switch to a trials bike then you can get used to it much much faster than in the beginning because the advantages are clear(since you can make good use of how good new bikes are at rear wheel moves) and in all your progression is probably faster.
Sorry if I was a bit offtopic :/
I'd probably go for the one that has a lower bb...(altho the zoo seems nicer it's also more expensive so probably they are both about the same value for money..)

I couldnt disagree more. My issue with someone starting on an XC machine is that ( at least for me) My confidence was much lower on the XC bike than the trials bike, because of the reduced standover height on the XC bike. Now, you could get a small XC bike, but if you are going to spend the $$, might as well get what you want.

You just made me cry. I have been lusting after the Adamant since I first saw one in Tahoe a few years ago. I was fondeling one today and got all hot and bothered, ready to post my Zebdi for sale so I could buy this sex machine:naughty: . I just called Jeff and you are right. No more high botom bracket. That sucks :ugh: . Anyone have a high BB A1 short they want to trade for a zebdi?
You could buy the A2 frame on their site it has High BB and is quite a bit cheaper.
