I'd go for the martas if you ride in the wet a lot.

otherwise, hopes all the way.

Magura Marta is a really nice disc brake, doesnt fail, stops when you need to, has exxelent modulation and is overall an supberb brake, but Hope Mono Trials is a trials specific brake, it has crazy power and still plenty modulation for trials. So to answer your question: Hope is more powerful, Marta is lighter.

I'd go for the Mono Trial.

Rear brake = Avid Code with a Juicy Seven or Ultimate lever..... :D

I am running that on my BT 7.0 and it is insanity :D

Hope mono trial all the way. Martas are good but lose power after a while.

Hope mono trial works perfect. I've tested Magura Marta... IMHO Marta lever is weak, after few moths lever catched clearance and there is no way to fix it.

Buy Hope Mono or BB7 Mechanical

Nice build rav! And I agree. Most people on this forum have great luck with mono trials or BB7. There are a few who still rock magura discs, but avid and hope seem to be the most popular for trials disc brakes.

i have to buy a hope tryall disc brake
but can't fit my monty 231ti
the rear brake look like for 4 or 5" rotor
can't use 6" .why?

so i have to change the magura matra with avid juice 7 rotor
so powerful any weather
i just test my brake in the rain
very good

You might be trying to use a front caliper on the rear, because the 6" fronts are smaller than the 6" rears (which is about the equivalent a 7" front size)
