BMX King bolts are standard 3/8", should fit any normal dropout.

Hey! I think this is my first post here :)

I have a pair of funbolts on my desk...

The flat part along the bolt is about 12mm. Then there is a small taper, and the thread starts at about 13mm from the head.
The thread is M12x1.0. So the OD is obviously 12mm.

I don't have any calipers right now, but here are some pics with a crappy wooden scale:

Are you designing a DH bike around Funbolts? I'd recommend you to use 12x150 hub. The 83/150 standard is used in many new frames now. Almost all hub makers are offering hubs in this size.

If you absolutely positively must have a King, it can be modified for a 150 rear too.

It was expensive, but I did it :)

I just read that ridemonkey post about the custom 12x150 hub you made. That's great, and it's a shame all those DHers just shat on you for not running a hadley. I think what you did was pretty cool!

Hey! Thanks for the comment!

I was so stoked when I read that someone had found a way to make them 150mm, I had to order one right away! :)

There seems to be some skepticism toward king components in forums, even trials. Probably because they are so much money. And maybe their "hippie" environmental policy's.

Personally, it was because their clean manufacturing I bought my first hub set, and now I admire the engineering and fine craftsmanship.
It's a bit silly, but I think they are the best out there, and if you have the money at the time... why not? :)

Ya, I don't know what some peoples beef is with King. I kindof like their Hippie attitude, and every time I've called them they've been very helpful, and it's probably the only component on my bike I've yet to replace at least once. While I agree that Hadley's hubs are of similar build quality, I doubt that their engagement system will last as well as Kings:)
