Hey guys,

I'll be riding the Becel Ride for Heart (http://www.rideforheart.ca) with my trials bike this year. This event is hosted by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario (http://www.heartandstroke.ca). They close off a highway called the DVP and raise money for heart disease and stroke.

Last year, I was able to raise $400 riding my trials bike and did the 50KM route. I must admit that I pumped my tires super hard and put on a middle chain ring.

So here's my pledge:

$500 - 25KM route
$1000 - 50KM route
$2000 - 75KM route
> 5000 - to the moon and back

So if you hate me, sponsor me, and make me ride hard. And If you like, sponsor me anyway. do you think my longboard will qualify as inline skates?

It's not exactly the kind of thing that you hit the sk8 park on:hsugh:

It's good your raising money and all, but the cause is real weak in my opinion.

All we do is pour more and more money into research foundations, and what's happened? Heart disease is worse than ever

If you really want to help people, take that 400 bucks and distribut some books on health and nutrition to heart patients. Or something along those lines, at least it won't get eaten up with administrative costs

yeah. Stop paying research orgs to try and find a way to be fat and greedy and lazy WITHOUT getting cardiovascular disease. It's not going to happen.
