Well now big boys you can back hop and hopefully my other tut helped you with it
Disclaimer
I didn’t not create any of the ideas how to learn to lurch. and just read this
http://www.trials-online.com/trials-faq-included.php#q3_5
In this tutorial I put it into video and shorter form and with my experiences. THAT ALL I DID. thank you.

so where you start. first what you do is make sure you can do this things
Track stand
Hopping with two wheels
Back hopping at least 5 times on average (3 is ok too  )

Step 1

You need to learn the pedal kick part first. its easy just start back hoping then give it a little push .HAbr had suggested that “Depending on how high you keep your front pedal while backhopping, ratcheting back the pedals may be an essential part of all three steps.” (if you lucky you will pull of a lurch like I did in the vid below on the first try.)

step 2 here comes the hard part where you combine hopping and pedal kick together. The hard part is to figure out when to release the break kick and hop. Habr also suggested that Lowering the front wheel is an essential part. I don’t really find it important when you are just starting. I could not do a lurch for the longest time ever until I forced my self to pedal kick and then hop. That was my first lurch. After you land make sure to lock up your rear wheel. Here is the vid of what yours will look in the beginning (depend really on you they might be big from beginning or tiny.) When you do a lurch you will know you did it. It has a special feeling that’s not like anything else. So here is a vid

step 3 get good at it. Lower your front wheel and instead of moving your body up move it forward and up Habr also to preload by moving the butt a little bit down . so yehh here what a 3-4 foot lurches look like

Once you mastered the basics and want to increase the distance of your pedalkicks you might want to look at the following pictures for inspiration. They show Neil Tunnicliffe doing a 10ft pedalkick and where taken from the "zoo video 30" which currently can be downloaded for example at http://www.neiltunnicliffe.com/Videopage06.htm

http://hometown.aol.de/HB5849/pk1.JPG

First he does a "preload" hop, at the end of which his arms are almost fully extended, his butt is closely above the rear tire and the front wheel is almost at ground level.

That is interesting, when jumping off he lowers the front even further, now it is at ground level.

http://hometown.aol.de/HB5849/pk3.JPG

At the end of the "jump up" phase his body is fully outstreched, his thighs are (almost?) touching the bars.

While in the air he sucks up the bike again, so he can push the bike forward with his legs later on.

To prepare for the landing and to get some extra distance he extends his legs again.

Tips collected by Habr from preciouse posts
- Jumping up and pushing down the pedal are both part of the same movement. It's not "push the pedal, then jump up" or "jump up, then push the pedal", the same movement that sends your body up moves the pedal down.

- When it comes to achieving distance pulling the handlebars towards you body and pushing the hips towards the bars is said to be an important aspect.

- When in doubt how to achieve distance while jumping forward with your bike it might help to jump forward without a bike. Observe the way you move your ankles, knees and hips, then try to do the same movements when your on your bike.

(But what do I know about achieving distance, I'm currently stuck at 3 feet... :) )

Finally a comment of my own:

- I find it convenient to release the brake a split second before I jump up. When trying to do it simulationsly I often did it too late, which lead to awkward screwups when the pedal didn't move down as expected. Remember that it's safe to release the rear brake once you (deliberatly) "lost balance to the front".

things to keep in mind
1 PEDAL KICKING WILL KILL YOUR HUB AFTER A WHILE SO START SAVING FOR A KING OR FREEWHEEL SET UP NOW
2 Don’t be afraid of doing lurches you cant hurt your self. plus its fun.
3 NVM 2 you can hurt your self if your hub dies on you.
4 make sure your brakes lock up the wheel. do a grind if they don’t and make sure you use good trial specific brakes. Like CRV's or SRM's
5. The best way to learn is after every lurch stop do a back hop and do one more lurch and repeat this again.
I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT YOU DO TO YOUR SLEF OR YOUR BIKE OR OTYHERS PEOPLE PROPERTY!

If you have any suggestions just tell me and i will add it in and give you credit.

Thanks for the vids. Not many people are willing to share clips of themselves during their awkward learning stages.
