Do they suck? I bought some when I was building my bike because the price was right, but now im wondering if I should have gotten something else? Ive got a pretty hard grind on my echo rim, what pads would ya'll recommend?
try it, if you bought it
i recommend coust (or red heatsink) btw

I have heard the echo pads work well, especially in the wet, but tend to wear out fast.-- if your running with a grind

If it ain't broke don't fix it.
i have echo red pads on a grind (couple of months now) and they work well. Haven't riden in the wet but fine when dusty. They have lasted good (prior to this was using green zoo pads which are softer and wore fast).
my echo pads have been great so far. but since i havn't grinded my rim in a few months the pads are lasting longer. but they might not last to much longer after big bear cause that is the next time i'm gonna grind my rim

Rock pads Blue.
Nope. I can vouch and so can modtire. It sucks even with a grind. It doesn't slip or anything but unless the rim is clean and has a fresh grind to it it won't work well like other pads.
And it wears down VERY quickly with a medium grind. It didn't last me a week with the red Echo's :\
Try the red Rock Pads. I'm going to buy a set after my CRM is done.

i rode crms for a while then i got some echos . they were ok on a clean rim but were gone when i ground my rim . from then on i held crms on a pedastle. then i got an echo rear rim and some blue rock pads and never had to grind again. they have a stong lock without tar or grind, and they dont make much noise..... till i wear down the anodized sidewalls then they will hold even better and will make noise too. if you run a grind all the time i would suggest a crm or something like that. if you run no grind and value good lockup and trusted strength then get the rocks. you can kick me in the ass if they suck:hs: good luck man.

koxx bloxx work good, and you don't have to keep winding the tpa in every 5 pulls of the lever like you do with cousts ;)

so Coust pads don't last long? which colour bloxx....?
I've been trying to find the best pads (wear rate vs power).
CRM's seem to be the best compromise between wear and bite so far.
Spanish Fly are still good. I've heard the Echo's wear out fair quickly
