If this one works out...round two, three, four can be anywhere, same format.
If we run more, more companies are interested in sponsoring the events.
Could be the start of something sweet.

If you want to ride but feel its too far for morning travel, come sat and stay with me...its not like theres nothing to ride here. I know in England my dad (cool guy, got the trials fever) would trave 5-6 hours to go comps.
The more riders that show the better the comp will be...+its going to be a blast.

anyone from boulder have multiple bike racks/would have room for another bike in the car? my friend who i was planning on going with just got a job so its up in the air if he can give me a ride, would be good to have a ride to fall back on. i think 3rd Degree might be looking for a ride up from boulder too.
10 days, my pulled hamstring will be 100%, you sport riders are going to be put to shame by my thuper trackstand skills. first "ride" today(on a meh hamstring) since xmas break.

My girlfriend said she would drive me up there, but I think I can convince her roommate to go. He's got a huge ass van. The only thing stopping him will be a massive hangover (it's his bro's birthday the night before).

steal his huge ass van for a day. if its his bros bday the night before he probably wont wake till about 2, then he will sit on the couch watching tv thinking to himself how shitty he feels and how he doesnt feel like moving. by the time he feels good enough to do anything you will be back. he doesnt need that van that day... and bringing your gf to a comp... i hope shes not hot for your sake :naughty:.

i'm bummed im going to be out of town for this one but hopefully i'll be around for round 2... i want to make a section that just pissed people off.
kinda like that colorado series that i tried to put on that only had riders show up for the first event ;)
I'd like to go, my Adamant A1 should arrive right after that weekend unless Mean Todd finish's my wheels early. Also this is my first trials bike.... I've been practicing what I can, on my Full Suspension MTB. Sounds cool though, glad there's a good Colorado trials scene.

EDIT:: There is a 'mapquest' link at the top of my first post, just hit 'directions to' and punch in your inf...that will give you an estimated travel time (if you stick to the speed limit)
I have spare rooms if it going to be to far for morning travel...Come sat, chill.

Anybody want to carpool up there? I'm in the Castle Rock area, so it would be easy to hook up with anyone south or east of Castle Rock (Parker, southern Aurora, Colorado Springs, etc) as well as anywhere along the C-470 loop up to I-70 (Highlands Ranch, Littleton, Waterton Canyon, Golden, Morrison, etc, etc).
I'd be happy to meet at C470 and I-70 and pool from there if that's the best we can do.
Please let me know -- shoot me a note at jimm100@hotmail.com and include your phone number.

good meeting and riding with you all, huge thanks to phil for putting this on... and having such a sick backyard. sorry about peacing early, wanted to stay and ride(phil you should make my score on those last 2 sections what i got on the first lap:x: and post results). im for sure down for a round 2 sometime, once this pulled hamstring feels like recovering. i was thinking a good time for a comp(not necessarily round 2) would be good really close to otn days so any riders coming from far away can ride 2 comps while there here?

It was a great time -- great area to ride, creative sections, enough variety that everyone was challenged, and a good group of guys. Definitely some outstanding skills in the group.
Good pics, Andy! Wish you had gotten one of me crashing. But it is very cool that you got one of me riding -- I'm glad you were quick enough on the shutter to catch me with both feet on the pedals!
Guess I should have gone with ice therapy. My left hand has swollen up and the middle 2 fingers don't work so good. Odd that the index and pinky and thumb seem mostly okay. And I'm very happy to report that my wrist is fine. I know lots of guys from my motocross days with wrist issues that won't resolve. So that's a relief.
The gap contest was cool to watch. How about a bunny hop contest next time?
Great riding, great group of guys to chill with afterwards. I'd be up for Round 2!

Except all the fags that didn't come.
Seriously, one of the best days of my life. I'm super stoked to be involved in such an (now) active and friendly scene.
To everyone I met, it was an honor and a privelege.
I don't know how to spell privilege. WTF?
Anyway, good times. Look forward to the next event/ride/soggy biscuit challenge.
Big thanks to Tim @ Trialsin and Alpha bikes for hooking everyone up.

I was looking at the results -- all I needed to do was roll past the start and put both feet down on the sections in Round 2 and I would have gotten 3rd place in my first trials comp! Now that would have been cool . . .

no people/time to ride with.
I know I had a few beers before the comp, I certianly wasn't seeing double but there was quite a few riders here....enough that 'a few' is too small of a descriptive phrase.
My camera is being a bitch...and I can't find my firewire cable.
Trying to remedy this. I would give the tape to someone else but theres some naughty stuffles on there...:yum:
I think a round#2 will be killer...now people have a feel for sections, I am very interested to see the changes...I suspect Mark will try to kill afew of us off again.

Can be done easily, we used to use numbered markers (duck tape patches with sharpy numbers), and just set out gates you had to negotiate through....alot easier and quicker than taping out entire sections+ allow for more flexibily on routes between gates.
Maybe I'll bring some on sunday?

Phil put it on and talked about a Round 2, but it's not an official series or anything. He just picked a date, published it, people showed, taped off sections, and we started riding. It probably appears a lot more official than it was due to the use of official scoring sheets and the Release of Liability and whatnot. But basically, his parents have 9 acres in Evergreen that we taped off and stomped.
Phil -- Have you given any thought to a date for Round 2? July 28 perhaps?
