nice dropouts :ugh2:

is that the best angle to weld the top tube to the head tube, or why do they take the trouble of putting that "hump" there?:ugh2:

I don't understand teh rear triangle. Won't the skinny tube be in compression when landing and stuff? A skinny tube doesn't make much sense for that. Then the dropouts stick out 2 inches and have to support all the weight themselves. Then bend near the top tube makes no sense either.

all weirdness aside, they are testing "new things" which in any case is good.
Without trying out different things the sport wouldn´t progress.
For instance, before the high BB bikes came out i would have never thought a higher BB would make going to backwheel easier. If anything i would have guessed it would make it harder. Someone tried it out and now almost all frames have at least a +15mm BB.

the dropouts looks weak, it indicates that will bend when stressing.
maybe the monty itīs testing some new stuffs, in one prototype everything itīs valid.

Whenever you see a dual disc stock bike, there is at least a 180mm rotor on the rear. I even had a 200mm hope rotor and wasn't totally satisfied with the lock up. Kenny prefers tiny 160mm (?) rotors instead... :dunno:

he stops the rear with his mindzspowzers

i guess the gold goes with his signature hope which is gold too? but jordi rubio got the bike too? hopefully they will change the hump thingy away like how they do it away in the latest 20" that dani was riding

Chris i think this is only he's demo bike!
MAybe that is because of the smaller rotor size ;)

If the geo, weight and strength are good then who the fuck cares what it looks like ?

I fully support monty and think that even if their last design, that has been used in their mod and stock bikes for a few years, was one of the nicest and original designs there is, a new look is definetly in order and the fact that thir new look is completely different from anything else is great!

I don`t know about others, but I care it...I can`t ride a bike, if it looks like dog shit, but with geo all is ok! If my bike looks good, then I think, that all moves I can do better...I remember the time when my bike was very bad, and when I get good loooking frame my riding was much better! Not only becouse I get better frame, my selfestimate was higher!

Yeah, but some people like some frames, other people like other frames.
I personally LOVE the previous Monty design, like the 07 221ti
http://moritrial.com/image/monty%20221ti%202.JPG

But I also really like the new design. The mod version without the hump on the top tube does look better but the stock is also really nice. That is my opinion. You don't have to like it. I might not like a bike that you think is nice, but that doesn't make it ugly. :dunno:

hey folks

I've been reading a lot of funny posts on this forum and on other forums...

It might look a little weird but it rides awesome, the geometry is 1090 with a 390 rear end.

the handle bar is raised in 72cm

the colour... funny people, that is not a colour, that is just how ALL frames look like BEFORE they get a paintjob.

the camel looking form in the front is quit innovative but after a while you get used to the look. It's like with cars, once you get used to the 'new' look you might start to like it.

and by the way you can use the form in the tube to carry your bike, like a perse let's say :)

They also have a fork but this we might have to modify a little bit.

Cesar Canas has tuned his bike with light parts and so on, and the weight is 9,6kg, which is not bad at all

mine is a bit heavier because I am riding it pretty much standard for my trainings, so I have to work harder which is good.

any more questions

shoot them

cheers

kenny
