So with my bike soon to be living agian i'm craving riding, I've noticed there is a lack of comps here in CO...firgure I try a new Idea and orginize something...something abit different.

My idea....really requires about 10 rider minimum
We get together...figure first time at my place (still un riden by me!! f-in Chris Kings).
Everyone marks out a section. That mean you go off and mark out what you think is a testing good section...a bloody good challege.
With everyone doing this we will have at least 10 rider designed sections ( riden twice true comp stylee).

So we each ride everyone's sections and and you ride your own, time and score is done by each other (figure this would be beautiful compared to the dragged in un-trials educated observer), dependent on number maybe split into groups, to do so....yummy...ain nobody but me cleaning my section....twat

Mashit it out and see who wins...

To keep thing fair and mixed if we get a mix of levels of riders...kinda handicap the upper echelon rider, who would ride UCI ruling...and the rest a free to bash it up BIU style....or
...the other thingwe could do; is you mark a 'expert/pro' and a 'inters' line while marking your weak ass "riding across an empty parking lot is harder" attempt at a challenge for a section....:wiggle::momaru::bigthumb::werd:

Who's in??
And any preference dates in the end of May and trhough June time??

Considering I wouldn't even classify myself as a sport level rider, I think its a no go for me.

I only post because that is a very good idea.

Just passing through. That is a sweet idea Phil, I might steal it.

Have fun, I hope you get a good turn out.

OT: Where abouts in England are you from, I'm currently in Manchester, sunny Manchester!

You might as well say I'm from Scotland...Berwick upon Tweed, the most northern town in England.

This would be the challenge, establishing the level of a section. I know when I rode comps in England, I rode over my head, makes me plan out the ride abit more, had to be a clever rider rather than a skilled rider. Like Ben Savage, when I started riding in England I found him to be one of the smartest section riders ever, he like me maybe lacked the skill and size of moves back then, but he new when to technical dab, and when to roll stuff.

..Anyhow, if the level devide is so great, maybe we do a sport line??If there is enough riders at that level have your own group.
If not still come out and ride...best and quickest way to get good...ride with people and ride stuff thats over your head.

Not sure where that is yet, haven't really had a good look around yet. ;)

Everyone should turn up to this event, even if you don't compete, you may pick up some new skillzzz, and at the very least have fun with some other riders!!

i did something similar to this when i was up in canada, andy and i were riding with this guy named matt at the port moody trials park, and wed map out a section and take turns trying to ride it and see who had the lowest score, only 3 of us though, so not quiet as big......

So were looking at two groups...well two levels, Pro/Expert and Sport/inter but in both groups the upper level will ride UCI and the rest BIU...fuck it we can deside the rulings when the sections are made.

Sweet sounds like this may work.
