this type of the tensioner is the worstest ever.. why You all people are making it in the rear (on the hanger)???? the hanger is only for the equipment if you are using GEARS

dont like it!... it looks bad, really bad! If tou made it in 5 minutes, then its ok, but it`s not ok! you have good loooking bike and shi*y tensioner!
Mine tensioner, I think is better!..

LOL Seth, your bike is a pieced together monstrosity. The true look of a pieced together rig. I dig it in all its uglyness.

I dig your tensioner, I'm sure you will make improvements as time goes.
The booster, is much better than your last. Ugly but effective. Does the Zoo frame even require a booster? Have you ran no booster? I don't run a booster, just a mean grind.

As time goes your bike will become one. I ditched the "traditional" color scheme and went all silver and white. (Still waiting on a white rear rim) Halo SAS white front.

davke well.. dude if it works, then who cares. Its all about what works.
Seth, figure out a way to eliminate the zipties, maybe use some pliable aluminum with some small allans and bolts. Make it a clean look.

yeah fo sho. i was origionaly going for a gold bike but i decided t go with other colors like red and blue . more vibrant. and i dont know what you are talking about with a (peiced together bike -most of it is dengs products i mean im only running 3-4 things on that bike that werent meant for trials. tires ,disc setup, headset, grips ,and stem. but you have been riding for longer than i have so its only fitting for me to not know what you are talking about. how long have you been riding trials? im am thinking about just painting my cranks black or something so at least it doesnt look like im color blind. but i dont know if i can get my eno off to give a good clean look ,and im getting a new try-all front wheel . this one is so fucking heavy i endup diving when i gap. also i have the option now to lathe my new booster and tensioner im gonna do that and you guys will hear from it. :D

A good color scheme can add up to 4" to your sidehop.

sethman

not only that but ive got specialized stickers on there that add 10" to the sidehop each. i can sidehop 10"now why arent the others working?:x:

Trials about a year now. I was going to go all gold, but decided color seems to redundant. So I went all silver and white. I am still waiting for a white ZHI rim to come in from Trialsin.

nice man. my buddy and i are doing alittle filming right now for a fun vid. and so far tis coming great . the bike feels so good and very rigid. i actually do have to run a brake booster by the way, flexes a bit without one. but with it on i cant make it flex with one finger. but no worries. you bike looks sick though. do you have any recent vids?

LOL man, I cant even afford a camera. I have some footage when I got the bike built up.. terrible. I just have a ton of pics.

Here:
Just me and my boss, he just picked up the Adamant A2 which is looking pretty good.

The black and white are the old frame that I killed. Though now I have plans to build up a 29er for the XC. And thats looking about 2-3 thousand.

hahaha. nice man. i havent ridden anything with a higher bb than like 30 hows the czar workin out for you?

literocola

Oh I love it. I've played a lot a lot of diffrent gear ratios. When I got the Czar built, the ratios felt way diffrent on the Czar then my old. Now running a 19/18 and it's perfect. Getting off the old cog's are tricky
We had to cut it off the hub a intresting operation.

http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r102/michael_t_myers/DSCF0288.jpg

I had to try out diffrent bars, went from the Echo buldge bar to the Zoo riser, and that made a huge diffrence, ups, gaps, and overall feel is much better. I still feel like the bike is too compact with the stem, so I am going to be getting the HiFi stem and see what happens there.

But, the bike is a beast. I've ridden a few other bikes- HiFi, 04 Zoo, Control, Simtra, and a BT and I'm glad I got the Czar. The high BB is great, I can just get over everything. So well see.

ok - apart from the clusterf*ck of colours, i have to ask:

why do you need a tensioner when you have a halflink chain? with that chain you should be able to get perfect tension, even if it means a different sized cog up front or at the back

sethman
05-11-2007, 09:19 PM
i dont like any other size cog on any thing. i run an eno up front wich means i would have to go through a shit load of trouble to get it off there and if i ran a diff cog in the back it would fuck up my gears cuz i run an echo ss hub. i suppose i could order a 16t echo rear cog but i like my ratio right now and i will improve the design. and i cant get the halflink perfect , it either saggs or breaks. thanks though.

:umno:

and why would you want to screw around with a good trials gear just in order to get a magic gear and ditch the tensioner?

A half link isn't a magic bullet, it simply doubles your chances of stumbling upon a magic gear.
