I'm about 5'8, 5'9 or so, and I run a 1065 Echo control with a hifi fork. I currently have a flat-ish tryall bar and an old XC stem, probably a 105 x 10ish

I rode a few bikes last week with the swept back bar, and I'm going to get one. That means I need an oversize stem.

I'm looking at something around about the Echo Hifi stem, 130x15. Sound about right? the 145x25 seems a bit too much. Or is it? I'm a sport level rider with a mix of about 60/40 street and nat.

Thanks yall

J

Don't know if this helps at all J, but I'm currently using the 130x15 on my Adamant. It's wb is 1095, but I'm also taller, 6' 5". It's been working out well for me so far, but I don't have that much experience. If you want to wait a few weeks until I'm back we could pop it off my bike so you could try it before you buy one yourself.

Echo makes a 115x10 stem, get that or something close to it. I think 130x15 is stretching you out past the point of your backsweep on the new bar.

I would go with another 110 length stem. You can get them for under 20 bucks off ebay with a 31.8 clamping diameter. 120 length would be the longest I would go.

130 x 15 is the money.

Going from a 110 x 5 it makes the bike feel a whole bunch lighter and easier to ride.

Try your mates stem first for good measure.
