Yo people, here's a vid of the UCI worlds that took place in Barcelona. The footage filmed is mostly the warming up of Supermance, Coust. Bros., Comas:naughty:...but there are also some few clips of the Final round. Hope you enjoy cause my friend spent loads of hours in the edition.

The vid is called: SCP_bikeshowbcn, and finally, here's the link:

Benito continues with his powerful double maggie. He broke his escafoides about 4 months ago so he wasn't 100% massive as normally is, I talked with him and said he went to the worlds to train and get fit again, but now that Comas has been operated, he is the 20" King.

amazing video, already saw it yesterday on the spanish boards
Dani comas is insane, he just seems to lift the bike like it weights nothing
I wonder what rear brake he is using, the rotor looks very small

he is using the Hope Mono that Monty "customized" for the '07 221. The rotor is an aluminium one that Megamo used to fit in their bikes, he was using it because it was a rainy day and one of the sections was in the middle of the water.

With alum rotors you have to use special pads as the semi-metallic ones will be terrible. Not sure how the special pads will deal with water as the pad has to be porous enough to let the water through; otherwise, the pad will hydroplane on the rotor's surface.

different disc for wet or dry weather ,, why ?¿ the material change ¿?

Very true. I used to have that problem when i was using an aluminum rotor and plaz pads on my marta.

that movie had 3 moves, albeit 3 big moves. I know they could do some crazy creative shit, so why dont they?

Very good video, thanks!
They all make it look so easy.

I rode aluminium rotors for quite a while. With standard magura disc pads. It worked amazing, especially when you poured water over the rotor.
different disc for wet or dry weather ,, why ?¿ the material change ¿?Aluminium rotors start to work well when they get wet. Water increases the performance many times.
With steel rotors water has the opposite effect.

I had a Megamo alum rotor and with standard Avid disc pads it was pretty shitty while the same pads on a metallic rotor yielded a much better performance.

Great Vid only the flashing reduced the quality of the riding (and the vid's)

We need a detailed section by section vid of that comp!
