My firehouse is right near the airport so part of our responsibility is the tunnel that heads to the airport.

One night we get a call for a bus on fire in the tunnel. We get there and this thing is going pretty good around the engine compartment. All the people are off the bus and standing around. It turned out to be the Seattle Mariner's bus. They were headed to the airport on the way to their next destination.

By the time we got all the nearby cars evacuated and the people safe this thing is pretty much fully involved and the smoke is banking down. About that time the engine shows up and starts setting up to get some water on the fire. One of these faggy cologne wearing ball players, comes up to me and says, "hey, I have some pretty expensive clothes and jewelry in a bag on that bus. Any way you can go grab it?" I gave him my best "are you fucking serious?" look and walked away. Then more of them started asking other guys, some of our guys actually went and got stuff off the bus because they were all star struck like little girls, until it got too damn hot and they couldn't anymore. Well I'm happy to say most of their shirt burned to a crisp.

Joe, not sure if you have been there before but make sure you hit the trail at the end of Gott ave. and not the one across from the parking lot (take a right as soon as you walk out of the parking lot and follow the road approx 300 yards to the end and you will see the trail head at the end of the road)

Just got back from Rockport... it was a good time. Hot. My car said 98 in the parking lot of the park... 101 at our hotel. The heat took its toll on a lot of people. Brian and Tom killed it. I'm not sure how they got the energy to ride as much as they did... everyone else had some good moves, too. Frank showed up with his new frame... looks very nice. He has some changes to make still, but he's got some good ideas. Should be solid. So yeah, that's about it... it was good to meet some new people and see some old friends. Thanks for organizing the ride, the bug spray, the apples, and a good time. 'Til next year...
