I have a mod and I have been using a generic 5 dollar BMX tensioner(just one on the chain side). Well I practically bent it in half, Im guessing the BMX tensioner wasn't strong enough for me learning pedal kicks. Now my question is sould I attempt to make a pair of my own(one for both sides) or just buy the Threashold ones that Tim has on Trialsin.com? Has anyone here had any experience with these or is there something better out there?

I also have a surly on my zoo only issue I have with it is that the spring slipped on me one time and I just stretched it out so far no probs. If I were you i would try a surly I'm not sure if it will bolt onto your bike but i would deff use something that you buy you do not want to end up in the hospital because your chain slipped.:eek5:
