When I first started riding MTB (not too long ago) I thought it was realy bad ass to ride down a set of stairs. Never thought how wicked it would be to ride UP them. Something I can’t do yet……..
Way to go!!!

Landing something new is always a good feeling, I landed sidehops today, I was incredibly stoked on them, I was even able to sidehop on to something about knee height after about an hour or so of practicing them. good job man keep working and progressing, practice practice practice!

Ahhh... brings back memories.
Before I started trials, when I was just doing urban assult, stairs are the main thing. Going up them is a lot of fun, but hard on rims, make a lot o flat spots.
Try riding up a monster set of stairs on a dully DH bike, now thats fun. Get a ton of speed, and just ride up.

Work on going up them sideways one at a time. Riding at them and going up them won't really build any moves used in trials except for balance a bit.

I GUARANTEE that hopping sideways up the stairs is much more difficult than plowing into them and going straight up....

Shorty 2020, make sure you practice both directions, otherwise once you get good at your good side you will never practice your bad side.

riding up stairs is alot like doing a hookup
pedal up to rear up the first 3-4 then put your front on top and rock your weight forward.
