Is there a certain range of a wb someone should aim for? Such as, i am 6 ft tall and growing now and im wondering if i should aim for
1085 wheelbase, or 1100 wheelbase or does it not make such a big difference within the two.

I'm 6'4" and ride a 1080mm Pure. I could use a bit more length as I feel a bit cramped on it. I think an 1100mm frame would be perfect for me, but I have yet to ride one.

i'm 6' and my echo pure (which measures 1090 and has a flat bb) is too long/big for me. i'm headed back down to 1075 and a slightly higher bb with my new frame.
Are you sure wheelbase is the issue? Maybe you could open up the cockpit space with a change of stem and/or bars. This may be worth experimenting with, if you can, before deciding that you must change the frame. :)
I'm 6'4 and comfortable on a 1065mm WB stock. I did spend some time experimenting with stem and bar combinations until I found a comfortable one for me. I'm also comfortable on a 1000mm WB monty mod, and the stem/bar combo on that isn't massively different to standard. :)

Well for me, wheelbase is a big issue, since I have ginourmous size feets (size 14/15). So the gap between the pedals and front wheel is pretty important. Sometimes my foot gets caught on the front wheel during moves. I already have a pretty long stem (130mm, 15 deg rise and spacers) and short cranks (170mm), so I feel ok most of the time, but I don't like that my foot gets caught in the middle of some moves.
Oh, and I should go check my wheelbase again. I've changed forks so it may have changed.

I'm 6'3" and my 1090 wb Zoo Pitbull feels great with a 130x15 stem. Also, while you're doing this type of research make sure you do yourself a favour and compare the "reach" of frames, not only the wheelbase. Usually reach is measured as the middle of the bb shell to the top centre of the headtube. This can vary more than you might think, even on bikes with identical wheelbase. Tartybikes is great for providing the reach measurement.

great. awsome, thanks for the reach suggestion its probably a much more accurate way to figure the distance out

I wouldn't expect my combo to be ideal for anyone else, but as you've asked, I use a Try-all 130mm by 20degree stem, ~10mm spacer and wide onza carbon riser bars on my short KOT MS2.

I have a 1060ish WB is that alright for my 5'8" height?
If I pull on the bars to my hips on a pedal kick they hit quite high, is that normal or I watch too much TRA videos? I see his bars hit his legs quite lower, is that how its suppose to be? Like 10 inches lower than where my bike hits.

im 6' and 1/2in about or 6'1 now, and im using a 1065 control with a 130mm stem and im thinking its feeling a tiny bit cramped now, i think you should be fine if you have a 100mm stem, but other than that, i have no idea

Well how do you feel on kevins(darkside) bike? His koxx is a 1080 i think i also think he is around your height, right? I'm 5'11 and just went from a zebdi to a 1080 pure and can't believe how much easier backwheel moves are, although i miss my bunnyhops. But i think a 1080 sounds like the average for people in the high 5's or breaking into 6', judging by people on this forum and if you are still growing than 1090 or 1100 probably won't be that big of a deal.

ah. kevins is a 1065 lb i think. im thinking about getting a longer frame. kevin and jeremy suggested to get a simtra if anything, its 1085 so i think it ough to be good, and i can keep adding stem when i grow i guess.
paly- do u know paul delagnes?, ive heard stories of you =P

Yeah they suggested the simtra to me too. It looks awesome by the geo i would've gotten one but i am really short on cash. I think i know who you are talking about but i don't really get the last name of people when i ride with them. Did he used to ride at stanford alot with grande, john, ollie and those people?

yup. thats him. he graduated like last week.
I believe your torso to leg ratio is going to be a factor too. peg legs vs. stilts seems to change bike fit for your height and where your center of gravity is. I have more experience with this in XC bikes than I do in trials of course but, don't see any reason it shouldn't hold true in trials as well as XC.

I removed my spacers under my stem about an 1"...they felt better a few months back but now lowering the stem felt very right.
