Would there be any reason I couldnt run a threaded fork/headset/ Quill stem for a bit on my new bike?

I recieved my new Adamant A1 yesterday, and Ill have all the parts to finish it by the end od the week except for a fork. I have a tough fork kickin around, but it has a threaded steerer. Is there any reason I couldnt use it for a couple weeks until I get the fork I really want?

Im definately not going to go try anything big for a while as Im just starting out with my first trials bike.
thanks guys
Luke

if you really want to. what are you gonna do about a stem? If i remember correctly(being as I haven't touched a threaded headset in a long, long, long ass time) most threaded headsets use an internal lock that is attached to the stem. if you can make it work then whatever.

yeah, Ive got a Quill stem also. I think Im gonna do it, just until I get a threadless fork.

well, I just scored a Cannondale Fatty R for $50 so I guess they world will never know if a threaded setup will work...
