If you saw my thread I got all my shit from bts MEGA cheap, they are reallly good guys and should be happy to help.
Could be a little hard to get hold of them, just email them though.
Lucky for my a friend from here moved to hong kong and knows the bosses so he hooked me up but they are really good and did everything so quickly, even through chineese new year!

P.S. I dont think that they do much through the net, thats why they dont have a buying interface on net, they have an actual store in hong kong where they have all parts on display and bikes there and a little test area, much like at koxx days where they have the parts all over the place and you can buy, etc.
If your ever in hong kong, it would be the number 1 stop to see!

ELAN:
Biketrialstation are the manufactures/owners of Viz, so they can set you, or someone else up in the US with the importing stuff, if you get the wholesale prices for viz they are ridiculously cheap. But they will only do it for a fairly large order and only if you are going to resell it all for sure.

I did a transaction with them via email, but I had a friend pick them up. I live in the Philippines. They have an appointment style store where they open only a few days a week or when somebody is coming.

BTS has been very helpfull even if I bought only a small amount. Look for Blake, you can try to email them. He was willing to ship it as well.

dont buy from hong kong. buy from canada, US, or ENGLAND

If your going to buy the same item, Hongkong is way way way cheaper including what you spend for taxes and shipping.

stpatr3k

What bike specs do you have in mind?

less than $200 goes for a Deng frame,
another $100 for a try-all front DB,
less than $50 for a rear maggie, need I say more?
oh tesile cranks etc they have good deals on drive trains.

Actually not too far from the hotels I stay at in Kowloon. I might have to stop by next time I fly into Hong Kong (which is once every couple of months at this point).

Wonder how much I can sneak back without customs finding out...

Duty is usually 15% in most countries, I usually don't get charged duties since they usually say: "oh you came in with a bike? no charge then!". Shipping is cheap for me.

most definitely, if you already have some parts it would be great if you still get some for spare.

If you decide to get bike parts from HK, why dont u get it from china directly?

darkside

Maybe because there's no Chinese shops online (that we can understand)?

if you can get them cheaper from china and still make a profit after shipping why aren't you selling them to us? even if it were only a couple hundred dollars less...is that breaking some kind of rules??

ronan_zj

I did get parts from china directly too...
I got all my echo stuff from china, like forks, for like $40 aud and postage was $40 on them too haha

stewpend0us

how would one go about getting it directly from china and how long did the $40 shipping take?

I'm pretty lazy when it comes to selling things too but if there were more or less gauranteed profit in it every time i'd probably be thinking about it alot more...

For you, but for most OTN users isn't. I provide polish bikers with echo parts and can say a bit about that how does it look like in Poland/Germany, dunno how it looks in US though.

I once was almost charged with antidumping duty which in all would come for example something like this:

Shipping+parts (random value) - 200 USD
Duty - 200 USD * 1,047= 209,4
Antidumping duty 209,4USD * 1,485 (yea antidumping duty is 48,5%!! SUPER Profit KILLER!:O) = 310 USD
VAT 310 USD * 1,22 = 378 USD

So at first you paid 100 USD for parts and 278 USD for extra charges... Of course it usually not happens if you order small amount of shizzle, but it isn't that profitable and not worth of time spend on talking with some chinese, so it's easier to order from your place...

Just my 2cents...

Firstly, you must have someone in China to order it for you. They wont post out of China.
Then you need to have that person buy the parts from Deng, they will then be posted to him, then once he/she gets them they have to re-post them to you.

For us it took a while, our money took a week to transfer, then it was Chineese new year so Deng was closed for a week.
After that it took about 2-3 weeks for our friend to get the parts because he was on the opposite side of China.
Then a little less than 2 weeks to get to Australia.

The postage was expensive because there were 3 sets of forks and they had to be postage twice, I am also pretty sure that our friend doubled the price of everything that we had to pay, because I had another Chineese friend translate the price for forks and they were $25AUD, but at $80 including postage I still wasnt complaining.

I'm sure if I had a closer friend go to China and send them back for me they would be half the price.

I would allow like 5 weeks to get them? Everything too ages because of Chineese new year and then there was some massive blizzard so our post got stuck half way.

In a few months I will try to get together another set for me because i dont want to have to wait ages when these forks snap.

I dont know how much cheaper it would be to buy from China if you live in Europe or America, because in Australia we are very close to China, so cheaper postage, you guys are not!

postage depends on what serveice u choose.
I ordered 4 rims( 2 stock , 2 mod with 36h),and the total postage from china is only $30, but I have to wait for a month to get.
Eisbein (http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/member.php?u=8437), if your family go to china again ,u can try to PM me, and I will give you a phone number from which u can order bike parts.

15% duty is for items that come in the mail. That post are for direct buyers buying via email.

I would like to support my local dealer but they dont carry any trials item, my entire country for that matter. HMMM Now theres an idea....
