Hey, I know this is kind of a dumb question, but what I am after is 'what are your favorite spots to ride trials in the Moab area?'. I'm headed there next week for a week of epic rides, and fun natural.

mostly around town. the rocks out there are so big tha all you can do is just roll around. unless you can find a boulder feild. also theres 5 bike shops within 2 miles. and 3 of them know what your talking about if you say trials. so ask them.

I was just there last week. Great riding, fun weather (snow/wind/rain). One place which is a little bit out of town is called Area BFE. It's on 191 as you go south out of town. When you get to the top of the hill you turn left on a dirt road. It's across from where the 24 Hrs of Moab was. We didn't get a chance to really explore it too much though. There were signs of moto trials in the area.
Be careful if you're riding on the side of trails. We had some BLM guy start bitching at us for riding on a rock about 2 mm off of a marked trail. =/

I know it is a ways out of Moab, but has anyone tried "5 miles of Hell"? It was built for trials motorcycles by trials riders. It's a bit long for bicycles (we barely made it back before dark ourselves) but every inch of the trail is heavenly.
There are trails through the canyons behind us, it is crazy riding!

Thanks to those of you who posted suggestions for Moab. The pictures of the Moab trip were great Rodney, and I've thought about riding the 5 miles of hell, but the article in Bike, and a buddy who rode it on his KTM 525, say it is 5 miles of coolness with another 15 or so miles of double track to get back to the car.
We leave this afternoon for the 21 hour drive!!!
