Last (probably not) stupid question: What would be the strongest (without going too crazy) chain to run?
Thanks again in advance.

Strongest?
Wipperman IG8... you may have clearance issues with chainrings/bashguards
what works?
As Boogey mentioned, Shadow Conspiracy (half link)
or KMC k710 kool chain (1/8")
i use the kmc, its farely inexpensive and durable. others have been able to break theirs (as with any wear and tear item). I'm not at that level though

the Wipperman IG8 is the strongest but its stupid. the Shadow Conspiracy V2 is fucking gay. just get the 710 and replace it 2 times a year or somthing.

KMC 810 (fits better on mtb cogs and tensioners)

KMC 810 (fits better on mtb cogs and tensioners)
as it was made as a 3/32" chain.
but doesnt mean the wider 1/8" wouldnt work.
either way those two uses the same plates iirc, just shorter pins

Yeah, but I don't like how the 710 seems to have so much free room on mtb cogs, and it also has trouble fitting through derailleurs/chain tensioners. No functional difference, just personal preference.

yea it really does depend on setup. if its an open/non caged tensioner it should work. works on my surly singuleator... that i just destroyed. Also to a moot point, the 810 could be argued as "slightly lighter" for the same strength :hahano:
