Those sections looked way to easy for them + they showed off a whole lot. But it really was some ridiculous riding by all of them + the editing and filming was nice too.

anybody have the geometry numbers on that KoxxBoxx frame Hermance is using?

It looks small, so I think the BB is higher than the VRacing. Could be wrong...

watching vince in that just pissed me off. he does huge moves and just makes em look like nothing. he's getting awesome.

LanceT

Not that Vince isn't rediculously awesome, but it looks like he really likes riding in competition style demos where he knows he is absolutely the best and the other riders are basically a supporting cast to make him look good.

Then again, who wouldn't.

Kenny wouldn't be allowed near that building. It would ruin the show.

Hermace is a freaking machine. Pretty amazing that for a lot of the moves there doesn't seem to be much of a preload.

Am I the only one struck by the absurdity of riding on giant mushrooms?

I also love the fact that Hermance is riding so well on a shorter bike with a high bottom bracket.

click on it to go to the dailymotion site. it wouldn't play directly from sergio's site for me either.

Giant mushrooms is hilarious.
I can't watch that and be serious.

i'd like to start a motion to strike the following from trials:

-the front tire kiss thing.
-flip flop turning of your bars while on rear wheel pivoting.
-knee high socks.

otherwise, impressive riding.

It's 20mm higher than VRacing from what I've read on some site:wiggle:

agreed. i really cant stand watching him ride on that bike for some reason.

does koxx have 3 new frames now? the karbon, kirl, and the new one that vincent is riding? or am i mistaken

Vinco is dialed on the front hops. Don't know if I approve of the backwheel backwards deal. Although, what trials tricks are there really. Without the bar waggle and the tire kiss, it's slim to none. Don't strip away what little we have. We can't all do front wheel 360 drop off foot jam tail whips.

You would think he could figure out that bike sucks by now though.

^^^ about vinco's bike opinion.

I think you mispelled shinguards

vince said he wore those hilarious socks in that video from back in the time just for funsies and like 3 weeks later every dork in france was doing it.

vinco's wearing socks.. er leg warmers or some crap. but still, shin only gaurds have got to be among the lamest fashion accessories for trials out there aside from a visorles xc helmet or a camelbak. shin onlys are worthless for any other kind of riding too- why the hell would you want to gaurd up something like skin over bone on your shin and then leave something like the moving parts of ligies and tendies in your knees to get demolished.

shin only gaurds have hence-forth been sticken as fashion faux pas.

yeah, I agree about Vinco being mostly unwatchable. I'll still watch him in comp sections though, not so bad from last year's Koxx days comp, or Buthiers or something.

I want some real comp footage of Hermance on the new frame. I hate it, but he is looking good.

Caisso's riding was great!! He is also back on michelin..
Vince has the power no doubt!!But will that be enough in this years worlds?
The guy on the vracing shouldn't be in this video... I could find 6 more talented guys instead of him...

WhiteRavenKS
03-27-2007, 02:53 AM
^^^ yes, clearly he does not know what trials is and thought he was showing up to be an audience member for the filming of a cooking show.

no doubt , vince was on drugs !!

you are tough with vinco : ok his bike got a bar as high as a harley davidson, ok, he likes to make a turn hoping on the front wheel, ok he got tight wears, but , still ... ehm ... well, still he rides !

btw did vinco manage the big 180cm step ?

Patrick
03-27-2007, 10:37 AM
Great thread. I agree that Vinco is no fun to watch... Not much style IMO.

Kevin, what's the latest fashion for leg protection these days?!? Hard DH thingies? Good stuff!

oh, and the Spaniards have been making out with their front tires and each other since the OT PI DREAM days:run:

That KoxxBoxx is reminding me a lot of the HIFI.

Won't echo be upset when they find out Koxx actually copied them this time. The HIFI was the only bike that was somewhat original out of Echo.

patrick- leg armor for trials? guffah, none. just wear good shoes and ride on good pedals and there's no need for any. pants... that's as armored up as you need to get for trials.

oh and back in the time of (wet) Dream, the front tire kiss was acceptable as a product of the 90's. it's the 2000's. there's no need for that kind of thing any more.

Oh shoot, really? I thought my lizards looked so cool!

While I agree it's silly to leave the knee unprotected, I'm not sure that shinguards are entirely useless. Monday when I bit off more gap than I could chew, I slipped off the pedal and WHAM... it hit my shinguard. So ya, perhaps if you're... like... good, you don't need need them:)

Your shins are just a bunch of bones, what's a pedal gonna do to them?

Anyone who has ridden for more than a year should just man up.

DangerousDave

Vinco is still a pretty skilled rider for his age and the fact that he doesn't seem to be competing much these days. Compared to Vince he looks terrible, but still a good rider.

That's pretty much the same reason I watch him ride as well. I'd like to see people ride half the stuff he can ride before saying he is unwatchable.

When you had to get stiches cause you ripped a good chunk out then you opened it back up 3 months later after just a small scrape. You get paranoid about it.....

just wear jeans and have anything you want under em.. or be like James B and go full out leg armour. but really who should care about image and trials... trials allready is over the top whack and gay looking just riding the bike.. little extra leg ugliness with shin armour doesnt even matter.. if anyones trying to look cool in trials get off the bike and run away now. Kevin you coming back up to MSA this year? I should be up again hopefuly

Decent shoes and good pedals doesn't matter if you do stupid things :greddy:

It also wasn't a pedal slip that blew open my shin in the first place....

MIKE1968

last time I had a bad pedal slip was 3 or 4 years ago when I rode in a huge river wearing shitty shoes and VPs. I nick it every now and then these days, but never anything wild...In fact I've never had a bad one with platforms.

I find everytime i go riding with shins pads i always end up saying "that would have been like 20 stiches if i wasn't whereing shins pads" right after i slip a pedal.

Anyone else remember back a while ago, whenever u'd see vincent he'd have his shins wrapped in band aids with huge blood stains on them?
