I just ordered one today, i haven't tried them myself but know a few people with them and they are more than happy with the strength of the new design.

2006 was cheese!

i am running the newest echo rear rims. It weighs as much as i do, but its round

the newest echo rims are fucking tanks
wayyyy too much strength to them

you can run one of the newest front ones in the rear and its pretty decent but the actual rear ones are rediculous
i think it was 1/2 lb of rotational weight added going from a dx 32 drilled to a new echo rim

i would say go for a try all. running one now instead of the echos and its way better

yeah try all rims are like cheese, if you grind your rims you should not do that with much power.

Apparently they silly strong.
Neil Tunnicliffe went through about 3/4 06 Echo rims? - They were like cheese.
All the 07 rims i've heard of are still going strong.

hmmm. i ran an 07 echo mod rim in the rear and it worked pretty awesome. never even got one dent in it. and i ran it for about 3 months. i just dont wanna go with a try-all rim cuz two of my riding budies have them along with about 6 dents in the sidwalls of that rim. im deff not getting the try-all. i think im gonna go with the echos. thanks.:)

I've never dented my trialls but they don't hold a grind at all.

I just got an echo one and it seems pretty good so far, a little more weight then a try all but I might make the holes a tad bigger.

too bad ur brakes work for a good 30 minutes with the try all rim

thats what i thought too but im really suprised by how well there working
if youve got the right brake setup it will be fine

you wont dent them either unless you ride like a tank

I know you're asking about Echo...
But ever thought about V!z?
I ride mod, but my v!z rear is gnar-kill.

i ride mine since they've been released and am riding w/o any problems. I have to add that I destroyed 06:) and also ridden try-all. Both aren't even closed to toughness of echo '07. Oh, and they ain't that heavy around 850g from what I remember. So pretty close to try-all and lighter than zhi.
