Hey Guys,
I'm extremely new, looking to get into trials riding mostly in urban areas as there isn't much natural areas to ride around here, at least with a lot of obstacles (London, Ontario), I'm looking to buy a used bike that Will get me through the basic stuff, I have a budget of roughly about $500, and I'm looking for some advice from you guys as well, as I dont want to end up buying a bike that im gonna have to spend a lot more money on to fix up, if anyone is trying to get rid of an older, decent condition bike (no cracks) that will be good for me for the next little while, let me know.. btw im about 5'11" 150lbs.
As you can tell I have NO IDEA what im looking for, thats why im here, I'm hoping none of you will try to sell me something thats broken, thanks for your time. :Sonic:

500$ thats a bit low man, If you are wanting to do that you are better off getting a Frame and fork. then saving for the rest. To be honest you are looking at a little under 800US$ for a decent beginner bike.
Or you can buy some nubs old shit and fix it up after that you spent a few. Some guy in China used to ride for ECHO went his own way they are coming out with a 800.00US$ compleate bike. From what i heard from webcyclery they are decent for beginners. Should be out in a week or two. He is building one as we speak.
AWSOME price for a NEWZ bike in the US
If you buy someones shit you learn like shit.

I'm selling my Woodman stock bike. Link: http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/showthread.php?t=25124
I learned on it and it will hold up to a lot. Very solid bike.

Ummmm what? I have to disagree with you there...by the way who are you? Don't take it the wrong way, I've just only seen you start posting here in the last few days looking for a bike yourself. Have you ever bought a used trials bike? I thought you just bought a new first trials bike??? (I gathered this from your previous posts.)
Xytek, there are plenty of good used bikes here on this forum, like SpeedyJ's Woodman. Take a look at the For Sale/Wanted area.

Just trying to give him a heads up, I dont wanna see him get hosed
I am just a guy who likes this stuff. I never used to post here cause people get tooled on allot. I have read this forum for about a year.

Dude, the used bikes here aren't junk. Maybe once in a while we get a douche looking to rip people off, but most of the guys here aren't looking to hose a fellow member. I think SpeedyJ's Woodman would be great for a beginner. Sure they don't make in anymore, but if the price is right and it happens to break in the future, he could swap parts to a better frame later on.
LOL I just looked at the Woodman thread again and I noticed you wanted to buy it...:hahano:

:rant2: Fuck let him buy what he wants take in consideration that some are not the best choice on here and letting him know is part of being a GOOD SAID member. Besides he wants 750 for that woodman and he wants to spend 500$....Help him find something. HORSESHIT:luke:

I appreciate the comments guys, and I think we should kinda keep the flaming eachother to a minimum, I have a little more money now, and I've found a new bike at a local shop, which the guy there, who rides trials has said he will build up for me, I have made a post about it in the beginners section, and I'm looking for as much feedback as possible. Here's The Post: http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/showthread.php?t=27336
And not necissarily flaming, just the arguing, I didnt, come here trying to start arguments :P
