Yes, it makes a difference. Are you using the original stem right now? Cause they're aren't a whole lot of variations in Mod Stem sizes.

yes im using the original stem.
it feels like its way to close to me when im at my confort/balence point on the rear tire. like its too tall.

Monty's are really short. Unless you're like 5' nothing, I'd say you just need to get used to riding a trials. bike.

What he means is that since Montys (especially the 219) are short to begin with, it will be difficult to make it feel longer. The stems on Mod bikes are already pretty long. To make the bike feel any longer you would have to find a pretty rediculously long stem, which would end up putting your weight much further forward when not on the rear wheel.

Oh sorry I read the thread wrong. I thought that you felt the bike was too long for you. Disregard my comment.

ok.

@ darkside. im not trying to make the bike feel longer. im trying to make it more confortable on the rear tire. and i was stateing that longer bikes are easier on the rear tire.

have you tried tilting the bars forward?
with forward i mean away from the stem
that helps a great deal with feeling on the rear wheel
