Since my BT forks died on tuesday it was necessary to purchase some new forks, decided to go for a set of new controls (or pures as it says in echobike.com) got them today and i could not belive how thick the steer is :o but that makes me a happy Bigman :P

Also got a few more things to sort out my rear vee, the older style SD7 levers i had were ausing my fingers to ache (flat blade shape) so i ordered a set of the new style ones, and they feel SOOOO much better, also got myself some onza vee adapters (not released on there own yet :P) and i have to say that i am very impresed with them, and got an XTR booster off ebay, this setup has given me the lowest vee setup i have seen on a 4bolt frame, which i am very happy with as it keeps everything compact and tidy.

Well here are the pics:

Nice dude! I like. I really need to ditch this pos knifen and get a better, lighter fork with more rake so my simtra feels as good as it can.

Beautiful. I think I would like a simtra for the next bike. You dont happen to want to get rid of the left side sd7 lever do you? i just broke mine and have to use one sd7 and one deore. the deore sucks balls and eats my finger too.

edit: i didnt realize you were uk. i dont suppose it would even be worth it with overseas shipping.

That's mint Adam!! I'm loving the vee set up for sure. :)

I think that's how I want to set up mine when I get over to the UK in March. I'll run my XTR levers and Heatsink adapters though and swap out my current red heatsinks for the coust compound.

Where does your spring tensioner attach itself to the frame/dropout? I am running a home made replaceable dropout, made out of 8mm thick alu and an MRP roller, but I can't get good spring tension onto the roller so it comes loose everynow and then.
Any pics or help would be much appreciated. :)

The tensioner works by having an L shaped bracked that clamps between the hub axle and the frame, then the spring steel is bolted to that, works SOOOO well, i am very happy, i am even considering selling my Rolhoff tensioner becuase of it.......

Unfortunatly it is not possible to see the crack on the forks as it has gone inside the crown of the forks, it creaks and you can feel a slight movement.
