I am having a hard time trying to pull my bike to manual position ... i could pull most bikes up to manual position on XC or street bikes...but not on my trials ... why ?

pls give me some advice on methods or is there anything wrong with the setup (eg stem?)

thanks for viewing :D

no its not wrong, its your choice of frame that is wrong for manuals.

Pull harder. :)

Nice bike, loving the colour of the bars.

What tyres are those??

I used to have that frame - if you want to be able to manual it (or any other high-bb bike), you'll need a significantly taller stem. I used a 145x25 (or thereabouts) Echo stem, and could manual/bunnyhop easily.

Regular stems + high bottom brackets = weight too far forward.

It's an 07, it isn't a high bb anymore. Longs are +30, shorts are +15.

Whoah - didn't know that. I guess the way to manual is just to pull harder :)

Amazing - people wanted mid-high BB's, and Deng responds.

Very nice looking first bike. Yeah I need to pull quite hard in order to get my Pure long into a manual. I am really liking that the adamants have lower BB now.

Trials bikes will be harder to manual than almost any other type of bike. At least all of mine have been as well as my brothers mod. Pedal ups are the best way to get the front up. There are huge advantages to having a wierd feeling bike like this though, you will find them.

Sick ride man, now go out and ride it to pieces!

Yeah, Adamants are +30 and +15
Controls are +20 for both
Pitbulls are +25 and +10

Nice bike. You will learn to pull up harder for a manual and/or bunny hop. You'll get used to it....At first it seems like your shoulders will rip out, but it will happen soon. The bunny hop that is.......Is that a shifter I see;)

to manual or bunny hop it helps to move your weight forward over your front wheel so the back wheel lifts up a little bit and then pretty quickly shift the weight to over the rear wheel. You'll see it will help.

That's how i and danny holroyd do it. Check the vids. yo.

edit: don't like the bike at all sorry) cuz it's full-standart and everyone has adamants now. But it's still technic-wise great for a beginner, so good luck!

One of the nicer looking gold setups I've seen lately. Put some scratches on the thing!
